Just a nob question, shall we apply and stick all the car body protection such as bumper guard/car body guard and Visio etc before sending for car coating or the other way round?

The concerning is whether the 3M double sided tape will stick well on the coated paint such as ceramic type. Anyone can share this info?

More likely the coating will have difficulty adhering to the stickers than the other way around. And somehow the sticker comes off while coated, the sticker takes the coating with it.

I'd rather coat the car first then add additional protection which is relatively easy to replace.

It also helps that a freshly detailed car is clean and prime for sticking on such stuff.

Up to you really though. I don't think the sticker will have a lot of trouble sticking to a coated surface.

Other dan using 3M double sided tape make sure you clean the contact surfaces on the camera and windscreen. You may use alcohol swab or a damp cloth. Wait awhile to dry, make sure it's clean and has no sticky residue. Apply the tape.

If it doesn't work like the camera is kinda heavy, remove it from the mounting bracket (if there's one) and let the bracket stick to the windscreen for about an hour before fixing the camera back.

It’s generally better to install physical protection (PPF / bumper guards / tape-on accessories) before you ceramic coat the car.

Professional paint protection film makers (like 3M) explicitly state that ceramic coating can interfere with the adhesion of protective films — PPF should not be applied over cured ceramic coating because the coating’s slick layer prevents the film adhesive from bonding properly. If you install over ceramic, the film can lift, bubble, or fail prematurely and even void warranty.

Recommended Protection Products

Here are some widely respected options you can consider:

Paint Protection Film (best for rock-chip & impact protection)

3M™ Scotchgard™ Paint Protection Film Pro Series 200 – Top-tier PPF with excellent clarity, self-healing and durability.

KAWIN Paint Protection Film Great options if you want mid-range performance/value.

These films can be installed before ceramic coating and then ceramic coating applied on top afterward for easier maintenance and added gloss/hydrophobicity.

PPF and ceramic go on first, then accessories with 3M tape afterward tape won’t stick well to coated surfaces. If you want a solid breakdown of the process, https://ppf-wrap.com/ has good info on getting the order right.
