give up 2.0t lexus for 2.0t stinger is not worth it

that leaves the 3.3l stinger which i would imagine is a pain to drive on sg roads where there is simply no room or much opportunity to unleash all that power, high operating costs not withstanding

:D

yeah i agree is200T engine isn't too bad both around 250hp and 8speed. so will be a lateral move to the stinger.  only 3.3 makes sense.

Wait ppl think u drive taxi. CNY relatives laugh at you.

In all srs-ness, Kia lost a good opportunity to introduce a more lux sub-brand.

as mentioned by others, i think Kia wants to try to atas-ify the main brand... a huge gamble...

will NEVER happen. At least not in the foreseeable future. Why? No heritage.

Then a diesel would suit your driving style and good FC some more which saves you $.

True. Just that diesels sound uninspiring.

And the models I like doesn't come in diesel.

My car is perfect for me now. Only the famous Toyota throttle lag sucks.

From 0 to 30kmh I will lose to every car.

But I can tahan for a few years and see if there's any used 3.3s available then.

Unfair isn't it?

Those established brands by virtue of being in existence earlier, got a head start and cos of their heritage/longer history, they enjoy a premium and will always be THE brand to aspire for. This sometimes makes them complacent cos they know they have made it and will always attract buyers readily.

Compare this with the hungrier newbies like Kia who have dared challenged the mainstream and come out with a car that is in all intents and purposes, able to compete with the establishment but cos of lack of history, is perceived as worse off even if this is not true. Well, I suppose that is life for u in all areas, not only in the cut throat car industry!

Not entirely true. Pagani / Koenigsegg / Tesla. All are younger than Kia.

I wonder if the car is available in their showroom for test drive or viewing?

Because they started out as a performance focused brand.

Kia started out as a budget brand.
