KIA Stinger GT

It's selling more expensive than the Audi A4 2.0 at the motorshow. It's a pretty good car, but still not comparable to the germans. Asked a sales guy what's the pitch to price it higher than the A4, the guy had no answer, simply said "the car speaks for itself". If i let the car speak for itself, this is a 150k car at best. Other than the hype, rationally it's definitely not a good buy at this price point.

Means the sales guy is lousy.

 

Now, if you are the businessman and dealer, would you sell a car that is 44k OMV at S$150k? No one wants to make a loss right?

If I am Kia or any car sales agent, I would have vomitted blood and died from the nonsense daily from âprospectiveâ car buyers. Prospective until they really bought a car.

 

This is more than just badge or understanding of the performance vs value, I just felt it is more of ignorance of what a product is offering, especially when we are not talking about fishball noodle or economic rice where the product differentiation is much lesser. Which I am glad you know A4 is not fishball noodle, but then I donât understand your question comparing A4 and Stinger.

Lol bro it was a genuine question, i compared it to the A4 becos it was the only 2L car from the big 3 that was cheaper than the stinger. If i was the agent i would haf taken the opportunity to destroy the A4 and close the sale. Perhaps i am ignorant but if every car buyer was as knowledgable as u, the agents would all be out of a job.

In any industry, dissing a competitor's product is unprofessional. The SE did right by not commenting on another competitor's car.

Hmmm... I am guessing that the SE just don’t want to start a string of stupid questions by answering the first one.

 

Am I offended? Actually not really. I have no intention to buy a Stinger or A4 or Altis or whatsoever. I just want to test if some comments are baseless, it is just nice to do so in the cold weather.
