Is the K logo official? Why not use for the Stinger??? Strange...

That's why I never bother with local reviews... all sound so bland and inoffensive... might as well don't read... also not very comprehensive often... watching YouTube reviews more enriching...

Local car reviews cannot trust one. Distributors pay big money to advertise with sph. Sph cannot afford to often them. Same goes for the local mags

the fact that this car is being compared to luxury sports cars 2 times or more its price is proof that kia has won the game

lousy logo or interior quality not withstanding

Cut some slack.

It's their first attempt.

Notwithstanding, To compare it with the big 3 already says it all.

The stinger ain't perfect.

But for what it offers at this price bracket, I'll say it punches above its weight.

Yep agree.

Also, I suppose comparing the Stinger to the A5 SB in a motorshow format without a test drive isn't playing to its strengths. The significant power differential would certainly leave a meaningfully different impression in a test drive

Think Kia did an admirable job here. But on the same note, I can see what @theoldjaffa means in terms of feel - its not Civic Type R bad, but its not Audi A5 good.

In my view, interior is probably around Arteon / Q50-Q60 level give or take, and that's not a bad place to be for a first attempt, as you say.

I'll be interested to test drive this and see how it compares up against my own car, the stinger 2.0 specs are close to my own. Mainly in how the below areas stack up

1. Gearbox

2. Handling

Too bad not looking to change car soon, will have to gauge it on reviews for now

I suppose if you want Audi standard then you pay Audi price right? There's no such thing as a free lunch...

Seriously, I agree with Roger Ng... the local reviews are really not much worth reading...

I have the same views as you but the difference is, you write better than me

Do you mean better quality design for the steering wheel and badge? Cos I'm sure both are made of pretty good materials... [grin]

Design is ok. It's the centre airbag part, it's hard plastics.

And the Kia badge just makes it look worse.

If it's the King Long badge type of design.. it'll look much better.

Pls correct my back of envelope calculations:

3.3L

Selling price 200K

VES 20K

OMV 44K

If the first owner sell the car 3 yrs later.....the dealers will jit tao start the depreciation from 180K (take off 20k VES) and reduce it by 3 yrs.

A 3 yrs old 3.3L Stinger can be had for 140K?

The first owner of this high VES car already minimally 20K poorer when he drive it out of the showroom.

Demand and supply will keep the price high

I suspect there are a lot more demand than supply for second hand stinger, esp 3.3l

Road tax should not be an issue if you can afford a $200K car.

Real problem is the availability of spare parts with the limited numbers expected to be sold.

C&C is unlikely to store spare parts. C&C does not even store spare parts like front and rear lamps for its number 1 seller - the Kia Forte Cerato K3 1.6

And the 3.3l Stinger will be sold on indent after the single digit numbers in existing stock are sold.

Good luck to all who intend to commit on the Stinger.

Not a huge problem in this day and age for spares. As long as there is a local parts dealer, parts can be air freight in easily. But of course if you have more popular brands like toyota many more keep ready stock. Models with world wide sales should not be an issue as you can easily order from overseas.

Might not always be the case if you've owned cars that do not sell in numbers.

Particularly when the existing model is replaced, spare parts can be a pain.
