Open the bonnet a good mechanic can tell the engine just from just from the sound of the engine.

Problem is, good mechanics are hard to come by, have plenty of work on hand, and feels to me like they have to know you personally in order to even do a pre-purchase inspection on your behalf, whether paid or otherwise. There is a responsibility to it.

Doesn't look like the car had a serious accident although a minor one is evident.

Why don't you ask STA directly? I am sure the technician who did the report will be able to share more verbally.

Thank you. I don't know that we can call up STA to check with the technician.

I am not sure STA will entertain you but i don't see why they won't as well.(AAS did the last time i bought a used car)   Just call. No downside.  Good luck.

First car maybe people don't have a mechanic.

After buying the car people like to hop between who offers the cheapest service.

But if go to one workshop for every service and become a regular customer then maybe the mechanic assess for free.

Hi guys,

Just sent a 1 owner car with 100k mileage to STA , anybody able to advise if remarks are worth worrying about? ,I'm thinking the most worrying will be the new paint work

road test all normal condition

remarks:

Vehicle steering wheel knocking noise when turned while stationary

vehicle stabilizer link rod dust cover sign of worn(front)

vehicle body with new paint work

what car la? some models like toyota have steering rack knocking issues when going over uneven road.

for number1 you can also easily verify yourself. same with number 3.

for number 2 stabilizer link dust cover torn is small issue. might be linked to number if macpherson strut. anyway  part and replacement is cheap,
