I did it for mine, but I can't tell whether it's good or not. What should I look out for?

Is it correct for the car to receive 5W40 engine oil? I went for my 1K servicing, and they replaced the oil with that. I thought the Eclipse Cross takes 0W20 oil?

I think it's around the same as before (10-11 km/litre). The instantaneous FC reading did go up subsequently, but that's also the period where I started setting the air-con to auto mode. I'll be able to calculate the FC for this tank after I top off the tank tomorrow, but the instantaneous reading is around 13 km/litre for 70% highway driving, and for pure start-stop trips, 8 km/litre.

Anyone has any SE contact for mitsubishi? Wanna ask how much can my current cad be traded in

You are better off getting better offers from sgcarmart . Cnc is famous for low balling trade in prices.

Ok, I've tallied my fuel receipt with the mileage done, and it's around the same as before. The instantaneous reading seems to be inaccurate as compared to the info I calculated after top-up.

Are these prices after promotion if you trade in your car and take their car loan?

There are differing practices and views on what you should do with a brand new car after collection.

So do you guys (who have collected your ECs):

sayang your EC and drive slowly up till xxxKM;

drive hard to break-in the engine; or

just drive normally lor, cos these days new car engines not like engines from 10 years ago.

Read from a source that you need to vary the engine RPM, so I varied the engine RPM up till 3K, but I don't floor the accelerator. I usually increase the pedal pressure steadily, then once it hits around 2K, I will ease off, but I don't keep the RPM constant too.

From the manual:

Advanced automobile manufacturing techniques permit you to operate your new vehicle without requiring a long break-in period of low-speed driving. However, you can add to the future performance and economy of your vehicle by observing the following precautions during

the first 300 miles (500 km).

Drive your vehicle at moderate speeds during the break-in period.

  • Avoid revving the engine.
  • Avoid rough driving such as sudden starts, sudden acceleration, prolonged high speed driving and sudden braking. These actions would have a detrimental effect on the engine and lead to increased fuel and oil consumption; this could ultimately result in the malfunction of engine components. Be particularly careful to avoid full acceleration while in low shift position (low gears).
  • Do not overload the vehicle. Stay within the seating capacity. Refer to “Cargo load precautions” on page 6-10.
  • Refrain from towing a trailer or other vehicle. Refer to “Trailer towing” on page 6-11

Engineering Explained has more info on breaking in engine:

Went to the showroom at Alexandra on Sunday. Was quoted only deregistration value for trading in my 2016 Attrage. Not only in C&C, also went to Komoco Motors next door and was also told the same. Apparently any car bought during the high COE period from 2013-2017 can only receive paper value for trade-in as it is cheaper to buy a new car now anyway compared to the second-hand market. So the dealer has to deregister and export the trade-in car. But if your car older than that then maybe got chance of getting higher quote.

in sg road I would say it pick up speed quite fast and rarely pass 2500rpm you may already at cruising speed 90kmh without noticing it.

at cruising 90kmh the rpm stay very low.

occasionally overtaking is breeze too.

if you worry can use econ mode:

from stand still it ram rpm till 2000rpm thereafter it just try keep below 1800rpm.

but this really feel slow and no power as the peak torque is only kick in at 1800rpm.

so suggest to throttle by your right foot better.
