To achieve 90% reliability, SMRT must be able to identify the problem and troubleshoot it.

Based on headlines, SMRT still doesn’t know what is the problem.

You need a better interpreter la😜

Hypersonic

Basically ask us to accept the  more frequent breakdowns and delays that is happening recently. They are unlikely going to spend more on maintenance.

Best to help them by avoid taking their lines...no overcrowding means no need overmaintenance...let ridership drops until some pants also drop for some good buttering...😁

They are not stupid, financially.

There is KPI for number of breakdown.

Scary to know that the reclaimed land is still not stable. So many years after the tunnel collapsed. Almost 20 years liao.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicoll_Highway_collapse

Nicoll highway stability issue take times. Not so simple to resolve.

Marina barrage, MCE, KPE, MBS etc all the way to ford road (previously circumference the golf club linking barrage to ecp). The amount of land reclaimed, barrage underground reservoir linkage to/from kallang, MRT station, underground train tunnel etc..etc ..

I spoke to ex smrt engineers before. Very interesting eye-opening chats were had.

They don't build the trains, so everything listen to the mnufacturers, can't really tweak it. By contrast, our northern neighbours build some of their core mrt train parts.

There are also other things I cannot say or pogba come for me.

MRT train is either Alstom, Siemens or Kawasaki lo.

Which northern neighbours build own parts?

There are at least 2 train manufacturers in malaysia, for domestic and export. One is china JV, one local. Majority local workforce.
