It sends a clear sign that government will mandate mask wearing for a while yet. We only need to see if only indoors, or all over.

I am actually OK with that as long as it is not n95. 😁

Thought G wants to live with the virus? Guess maybe they would allow not need to wear mask at certain places by year end? Even though totally no need to wear mask still a long way to go la. Ender Hypersonic August 21, 2021 Share August 21, 2021 (edited) Diggin into mutiples studies that support exercises slow down aging and keep our immune system working. Minimum follow AHA guide of 150min /week or more at moderate to high intensity. Interesting he mentioned and I heard from, Dr Jonh Cambell youtube too, is one probable theory why more children are down with the delta, could it be because they are coop up at home, lack of exposure to the outdoor Sun and other outdoor environmental stuffs (pathogen?), not getting enough physical activities could have weaken their immune system. Kxbc Turbocharged August 24, 2021 Share August 24, 2021 Someone here mentioned about running slower since we are older so that we run at a more manageable HR. I tried it last night by slowing down my pace deliberately. It was good. Finished stronger and was a more comfortable run even though the pace was only down by 20 sec/km. Good advice. 👍

Kxbc Turbocharged August 24, 2021 Share August 24, 2021 https://www.runnersworld.com/training/a28413381/rhythmic-breathing/ "Rhythmic breathing can play a key role in keeping you injury-free, as it has for me. But to understand how that can happen, first consider some of the stresses of running. When your foot hits the ground, the force of impact equals two to three times your body weight, and as research by Utah’s Bramble and Carrier showed, the impact stress is greatest when your foot strikes the ground at the beginning of an exhalation. This is because when you exhale, your diaphragm and the muscles associated with the diaphragm relax, creating less stability in your core. Less stability at the time of greatest impact makes a perfect storm for injury. So always landing on the same foot at the beginning of exhalation compounds the problem: It causes one side of your body to continuously absorb the greatest impact force of running, which causes it to become increasingly worn down and vulnerable to injury." I always exhale when my left feet touches the ground. Every single run. No wonder my left knee does not heal as well as my right knee. I will now have to exhale on my right leg to let my left have some time for recovery.

I will now have to exhale on my right leg to let my left have some time for recovery. Even if it's true, I doubt it make significant influence on the knee compare to running in correct form, and strengthening the muscles that support the knee extension and the impact absorbing calves when you land on the balls of your foot. And ironically, the more you run in correct form that activate these group of muscles, the stronger they get and knees get the protection. You can strength them by once a week run barefoot in the stadium. I run on aqua shoes. If it doesn't hurt your knees, try uphill running or walking like the bt hill trails. Consistency is key. ↡ Advertisement
