Wedding ballroom prices to rise, as hotels grapple with inflation and higher costs

You see lah. Can bao toh the hotels or not?

This collecting wealth and redistributing it is a horrible idea at this time when ppl are struggling with food inflation and other cost increase like fuel related cost. The extra 1% and then 1% more are really hard to stomach. I doubt the redistributed monies are enough to help.

This is just expected.

good luck Singapore good luck!

After raising the Goods and Services Tax, the Singapore Government will likely need to make further moves to boost its revenues to keep up with rising spending in areas such as healthcare, infrastructure and social support

This is according to a Ministry of Finance (MOF) occasional paper that was released on Monday.

There quite a large percentage of people no need to pay income tax.

So GST comes in as a continuous tax until even after death....

Wake need to pay GST

Cremation need to pay GST.

8 in 10 don't pay income tax. 8 in 10 stay in HDB. Should be happy?

when cpf rates are raised, lagi happy?

That's to make sure one can afford the HDB loan repayments for 20-30 years.  Most of it goes back to govt coffers anyway, including the subsidies given,  due the high land/HDB prices.

It's a warped form of lifetime tax....more powerful than GST.  Perhaps it's my thinking . Psps.
