Yeah still using it for for card payment, revolut for withdrawing cash eqv of SGD$350 at atm..  my operandi modus when travelling.

Do you convert to the currency you are going to or just leave it in the S$ wallet for them to convert?

my girl used it in Germany, Japan & Korea and i use it in Japan and withdraw cash from their atm.

In germany and japan my girl convert to the currency when the rate was better, but then you never know when is 'better'  I changed JPY at 90 few months before the trip (few hundred $) end up it was above 100 most of the time when we were there

I was always convert to FCY in batches nearer the date of departure. Buy FCY on dips. Cheaper to get cash too when I withdraw from overseas ATM. Most places have a service charge levied so take that into account. Negligible if withdraw ATM max cash.

Do note that before you go, change YT PIN to 4-digits. Because not all overseas ATM support 6-digits and your 6-digit PIN will result in PIN errors causing your YT card to be blocked.

youtrip pin is 4-digit.

You are right! So it was the ATM that I used that made me input 6-digits that resulted in PIN failure after 3 wrong attempts

I have switched to Revolut as well. Almost same exchange rate and recently i withdraw some Yen in Japan from my Yen wallet and there is zero charge. 

Hint: do it at 7-11 ATM.

Also, can move unused money back to DBS after each holiday. There is no easy way to do it for Youtrip wallet.

No, i just put sgd in n use dynamic conversion, lazy lah convert here n there, i kacang puteh spending nia, not like some bro here go overseas buy lolex or patek.. haha!

As for why i use 1 for card payment n the other for cash withdrawal, cos i got better rate using yt in msia while revo cash withdrawal is fee free up to S$350, although my fren tell me now revo card payment rate almost same as yt so yeah maybe next trip all use revo lor...

i have YT and Revolut ... both same same 

YT = Mastercard
