When taking over a car, is there a checklist the AD will go through with you?

The SE will teach you how to use the carious functions and ask you to inspect the ride.

Thanks. What does E stand for in S(ales)E?

i am thinking of getting a mazda 3 but i have been seeing alot of reliability complains and the engine feels abit weak. Am comparing this against Hyundai Avante and wonder which one I should go for....

Get the CX-30 which platform is based on Mazda 3, but with a 2L NA engine.

Test drive the Cerato GT line! If you are not bothered by the plasticky steering wheel buttons and inability to fold down real seats, the new Honda City is quite an attractive option as well!

Have you sat in the 2nd row of the mazda 3? Your family members if they are tall may find it uncomfortable... Also make sure you accelerate hard (4-5k RPM), and see if you are okay with the mild hybrid feel... Ya you are right that reading this thread is quite scary about how all the techy features can malfunction.

i dont really like kia because my family memberrs feel that the car feels more uncomfy. Was looking at mazda because it offers a lower depn compared to Avante...37% margin for plastic. if u take comfort taxi u know what i mean by the plastic in the car...but i was impress by the hyundai's tech as compared to mazda and design. nevertheless the interior is.....

What reliability issues are there?

There is no way the car cameras can be connected to the Mazda connect.

So, did the SE managed to check on it?

Wrong quote. Wanted to quote the topic about checking with SE on Hella

New Honda city released? Heard it won't arrive until April.

Hi, I bought my Mazda 3 last month, delivery in Jan. Similar situation as you with insurance - 4.2k for 1 year from AIG. I'm going to get Aviva - 2.5k for the standard plan: $300 excess, 12 month new-for-old replacement, covers me and any driver. The price includes a MINDEF discount for having their group policy insurance and the 25% promo they're running now.

SE didn't say anything to me about the camera installation though. Was under the impression that it was pre-installed given what other bros have posted in the past. Sounds like an excuse to get a backup battery for the camera if it is not preinstalled 🤣

Not possible to do it... i got myself a GPS module at $45.

SE also mentioned that TEK will not install the cam for me😱. Went to youtube to see how it is installed...looks fairly easy for me.. It's sth that reminds me of what I usually do during my NS days😅.

Mazda linked AIG quoted me $4.2k for 1 year insurance(old for new replacement and 100kcoverage) and $7.2k for 2 years😱😅😱. Income quoting me $2.6k for 1 year (no old for new replacement and 50k coverage). If I do not take up that AIG plan, I need to top up $500. Just got my licence a few mths back and 1st car... any recommendations bro?

WOW! You must also be pretty young for such high insurance premium.

The car cam is installed a week before your car collection. You can opt out for the installation and just ask the SE to pass the car cam in the box for you to sell.

You also another young dude with little driving experience.

Haha, young for sure... but been driving for a few years already. Just haven't had a car yet, so no NCD or anything like that 🙂

Good to know regarding the camera. Don't think I'm going to change it, so as little hassle as possible would be good.

Best to go test drive and see for yourself. Don't rely on hearsay.

Usually, if u go into any forums or groups for specific car models, u will sure see more complaints than anything else.

Unless someone likes cars, they usually don't post in model-specific car forums if they have nothing to complain or ask about issues.

Take your time and enjoy your car hunt! 😁
