Sotong1977 4th Gear June 17, 2019 Share June 17, 2019 (edited) I have owned two Hyundai cars... the first one an Elantra in 2002 which I drove for 5 years, the second is currently a Sonata VIII which is now 3 years old... in both cases, I have never serviced the cars with Komoco other than the first two free servicings at 1000 & 10,000 km... and I've never had problems claiming warranty up to the 5th year... my Elantra had the front bonnet chrome strip, front two sunshades, oxygen sensor, front headlamp all replaced under warranty. My current Sonata has the front two sunshades, plus rear taillight cluster replaced... I just had the taillight replaced... you can check the Sonata 2015 thread... my Sonata's mileage is now 46,000 km... I don't even service it in Singapore... I do it in Malaysia... just buy original parts and have it serviced... anything that fails understand warranty, Komoco replaces without question... so far I have not had any issue... that's my experience... for what's it's worth... my ownership of both cars are 10 years apart... 2002 to 2007 and 2016 to now...Sound like your car has a lot of problem Edited June 17, 2019 by Sotong1977 ↡ Advertisement
teomingern Supercharged June 18, 2019 Share June 18, 2019 Sound like your car has a lot of problemNo lar... basically only the oxygen sensor was a real issue for the Elantra... the car died on its own... other than that, the rest were cosmetic... so yes there were problems, I won't say a lot, but definitely not serious ones except for the oxygen sensor... For the Sonata, really no issue, except for the leaking rear taillight cluster... In every case, replacement was done under warranty lor... After all those initial issues, the cars haven't given me any problems at all, and more importantly no mechanical problems...

Mkl22 Supersonic July 17, 2019 Share July 17, 2019 (edited) friend uncle bought a avante S. paid 75999. got the coe. kocomo damn aggressive bidded $31698 for him. basic cost for avante S is 33.6k so coe at 26.6k, komoco "makes" almost 15.8k. surprised that komoco was willing to settle for a margin of 10k since they bidded $31.6k Edited July 17, 2019 by Mkl22

Soya Supersonic July 17, 2019 Share July 17, 2019 Komoco bidded $30,398 for me , for $74,999 package , S trim. Management deserve the business. Thot komoco price car w/o COE and let buyer decide on how much COE to bid?
us9392 2nd Gear July 17, 2019 Share July 17, 2019 Komoco is flexible. Go and talk to sales person and work out a package that suits your wallet. If you are serious , they will be work around the numbers within their capabilities.
ferrytales 4th Gear July 17, 2019 Share July 17, 2019 (edited) Yes, they deserve the business! Try this with Cycle & carriage Kia Mitsubishi or Toyota....maybe will get a "KITE" as present and invited to Marina Barrage or east coast park. Sir, pls enjoy your time there and have a great day ahead!! Fly your kite and see aeropoanes!! Haha LOL Usually this is pure gimmick!!! Add up most likely more expensive within current coe climate. Usually la, I think...... Agree that's why avante is most likely going to be the top selling cat a sedan again this year as compared to cerato/altis/vios. Mazda 3 might be a close competitor but we shouldnt include phv vehicles. Ignore the bid your own coe gimmick. Go down to kmc and they will share with you the price list, most probably 73999-75999 for avante s. Avante basic/elite will be +/- 5k difference. 13177 Hypersonic July 17, 2019 Share July 17, 2019 S trim now price around 75k and elite is 80k? Consider quite an attractive price, no wonder avante can sell so much!
Vinceng Turbocharged July 17, 2019 Share July 17, 2019 (edited) The only problem when you purchase a Hyundai are the 2 overcrowded service centres which are unable to cope. But good thing one can now service outside (cheaper) without voiding the warranty. Edited July 17, 2019 by Vinceng

It's in their interest...
13177 Hypersonic July 18, 2019 Share July 18, 2019 Hyundai usually cheaper den KIA and more flexible, no need for so many terms and conditions. Toyota Altis or Honda Civic will be around $92k range....easily $10k more so is different range of cars. Just like skoda, audi volkswagen BMW MERC all different price range for same category car. True, overall package offer by hyundai always better than KIA. Difficult to compared avante with altis and civic, as both these cars price always maintain around 90k plus regardless even coe dropped to 25k. But avante sometimes can even get it as low as 70k plus.

Last Feb i went, called in mid morning, asked if late afternoon got lot, and they said can. Reached there around 3.30 pm, and done before 5 pm. It was for 10k servicing. If Leng Kee, must literally wait long long. oh, Kembangan only does regular servicing. Anything else, need to go back Leng Kee.

Carbon82 Moderator July 18, 2019 Share July 18, 2019 Basing on the latest COE bidding results, OMV figures from LTA (June 2019), as well as pricing input from some of the members here, I have tabulated the costing info for all 3 trim of Avante available at Komoco for your esay reference. I would say the profit margin look decent and pretty reasonable (as compared to some other makes), imo. ↡ Advertisement
