yeah he could of. but then i don't think they were ready for "valtteri, it's james"

Heard the message but no idea what it meant, reckon was Bot way of getting back at somebody. Like he said "**** you" at his first win for the season.

I know Merc was concerned with drastic performance fall off towards the end of tyre life but so far Lewis has been very competent at tyre management.

Perhaps for Team Merc the main objective for Suzuka was securing the Constructors first.

when i watched the race, they had new graphics for tire life data at suzuka. when hamilton came in for his second stop, he tires had over 70% life remaining with only 10 laps to go. which i felt was a bit odd. but in the other paddock, valtteri was already banging on them to make sure they stop hamilton for a second time.. they could've had both but i don't think bottas would've been happy if they swapped them just for it..

Ya, the tyre life graphics is new and interesting. I suppose tyre life is one thing but whether its good enough to defend against another car is another thing. My feel is that while Lewis' tyres could last till the end of the race, he may not be able to defend himself against a hard charging Vet with fresher tyres at the closing stages.

Think recent example was Hungary (I think ?) where Max was on super old tyres and just could not defend himself against Lewis and Lewis snatched the victory.

So for Suzuka, if Vet had not been where he was, Merc could have safely one-stopped Lewis, me thinks.

if it had been a one stop lewis and since bottas already did his second at that point, the one behind lewis would not be vettel but bottas instead. then bottas would've been asked to not overtake lewis and hold off vettel..

why every champion “die die” must join Ferrari ...

it’s their retirement plan team? lol

Kimi and Alonso and Vettel

among the 3, only Kimi won for Ferrari

It could just as likely be Ferrari "die die" want to get every champion.
