some "sick" become not sick.

some really sick insist they not sick..

only a few take this chance to say they are "sick". no one dare to challenge them now!

Totally agree.

I'm the one that is sick but I always try not to be sick.

Not sure why perfectly good people wish/prefer to be sick. Frankly, if I can pass my disease to somebody that wants to be sick, I'll gladly do it.

I prefer to be healthy and contribute to the society.

Frankly, sometimes I wondered what are we afraid of:

Wuhan virus or even SARS

1. compared to the man-made deaths - World Wars, Genocides, Unilateral sovereignty invasions, etc. These added together are in the millions of unnecessary deaths.

2. we blame the bats, chickens and etc, but just how many thousands of species had we put to extinction

3. 1 shark attack in the sea, the whole community comes out hunting to kill the shark

4. we got natural and synthetic cloths but yet we need to literally skin animals so we can be one up against the Jones family

5. Each time there is a major man-made accident, just how many died or untold number suffer (cancer etc) , subsequently from them, eg nuclear disasters, chemical toxic waste etc

6. We used to have clean skies and very few debris but today we have billions of space junk in our outer atmospheres

7. The developed countries sent their plastic waste (toxic) to China, India, Malaysia, Philippines etc

Put it into perspective, what is there to shout about, aren't we already gotten used to killing ourselves many times over?

I think it is matter of time before we have to "re-set" ourselves.

Office got a lot of selfish individuals who does not seem to know what is basic hygiene. Cough cough cough the whole day, mouth wide open not wearing masks.  Sneeze damn LOUD  spraying mucus and nasal fluid all over fax machines, printers,  photocopiers and on your face.  Lucky I sit next to window and have the blinds rolled up to let in the sunshine and my fan is on the moment I step into office.

Paranoid? Yeah . . . . Black Sabbath.

BEIJING/SHANGHAI (REUTERS) - Police in China have detained a woman for "deliberately concealing" her contact with someone from an area stricken by the coronavirus and jeopardising efforts to stop its spread, the Xinhua news agency reported on Tuesday (Feb 4).

China has imposed sweeping measures to try to halt the virus, including virtually locking down the central province of Hubei, where the virus emerged in December, and asking anyone who had visited there to isolate themselves for 14 days.

The death toll in China from the newly identified virus has risen to 425 with more than 20,000 cases of infection, the authorities reported.

The detained woman, a 36-year-old identified by her surname, Liu, had hurt virus prevention and control work through her action, and public security authorities in the northern municipality of Tianjin took her into custody for "administrative detention".

The state news agency gave no details of what she had done, nor if or when she would be released.

The authorities in some places have threatened dire punishment for anyone violating the law in connection with efforts to battle the virus.

A high court in the north-eastern province of Heilongjiang said people who intentionally spread the virus could face the death penalty, according to a Jan 31 court notice.

Police in Qinghai province in the north-west were investigating a man infected with the virus who "severely disrupted virus containment and harmed public health", Xinhua reported, without elaborating.

I also notice the number of sick people has decreased tremendously ever since the pandemic started.

Can you imagine how many people are 'sick' on a normal day? :whisper:

Maybe now people sick also dont dare to go to clinic see doctor due to the virus thing?

Just heard from a friend in Germany their company management has put a ban on travel to/from Asia...….. not just China, Asia.

Whether an excuse was needed to save money so fast this year or they are beyond help, I'm not sure which.
