Maybe its a noob question

Lenovo laptops are TN screens. Is this like inferior technology compared to IPS or other?

TN is inferior in terms of color accuracy but faster refresh rate. For work wise, i doubt u notice the difference. >90% of work/office monitors are TN panels.

AMD Ryzen 5 3500U Processor ( 2.10GHz 2MB )

I'm using the S540. Bought it this Jan. Challenger was having promo back then.

I realised there are many spec for the same model.

AMD Ryzen 5, Radeon Vega 8, 16G ram and 1Tb SSD. $919.

The SSD makes everything load faster. It's also the only laptop with 1tb that's under $1K(back then). That's why I bought it. It's tablet/smartphone start up speed. I was surprised by the performance. It's also has mostly aluminium body which feels premium to touch. It's light weight and thin. If budget can stretch this is a good buy.

newer ones are mainly IPS screens. Only the very low end ones use TN.

Just bought 2 x thinkpads (classic series T & X) from official website, both specified for IPS FullHD screen. In fact IPS screen are the basic option.
