Even if ManU wins Villareal and gets a trophy, my view has been that Ole is not and never has been the Manager / tactician (for the past 3 years) that will bring them success. The back to back losses this week with Team B (Lei) and Team A (Liv) and having beaten these teams and ManC previously, is testament of his inability to manage and bring ManU to its former glory. If the Glazers pump in money to get 2-3 good players, I daresay even Big Sam or Roy Hodgson can do a better job.

U are not the only United fan who says this. Frankly, big 6 EPL teams shld employ experienced coaches.

Lampard already sacked by Chelsea who got in Tuchel who has brought them to 2 Finals and possibility of top 4 finish. Arteta also struggling at Gunners. Ole has done reasonably ok at United but I agree that with an experienced coach at the helm, United would hv run City much closer. But then again, which experienced coach can United appoint? Most of them are already employed. They missed a chance in getting in Pochettino before he went to PSG.

Of the serial winning coaches, Pep will not come to OT for sure. JM is history and Ancelotti is at Everton. Who else?

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson said he has not yet decided about retiring from the game amid reports he could leave the Premier League club at the end of the season.

West Bromwich Albion manager Sam Allardyce said he would decide before the final game of the season whether he will stay at the club after they were relegated from the Premier League last week.

There you go, already 2 potential candidates as mentioned previously. More to select from other leagues come end of season 😏

With all due respect to these 2 Mgrs, don’t think they are Man U benchmark of Mgrs esp Sam who has managed teams fighting against relegation all his coaching life. Roy perhaps in his earlier years would be perhaps a possibility but he didn’t fare well at Pool when given the chance.

Perhaps other choice alternatives due candidates availability at the end of the season but my point being that these 2 have the experience and if given a couple of good signings and from the pool of academy upstarts , I'm sure they'd be able to analyse the competition and utilise players that are appropriate and specific to the competition with man-mgmt skills just as Ole has done for Shaw. These two are also cohorts of SAF and little wonder that he selected Moyes as his replacement, of which he has done a good job for the Hammers.

Leicester won the FA Cup n Chelsea’s season which was so promising few days back is now in danger of collapsing in the home stretch. The top 4 slot is still in their hands but with poor form, they got to win both Leicester n Villa. They also got the UCL Final as well.

Marginal offside went against the Blues n also there was a suspicion of handball for Leicester’s goal but that’s football for u n anything can n will happen esp in one off games. Hard Luck but congrats to the Foxes!

Pool 95th winner by goalie Allison mean they now just 1 pt behind Chelsea with 2 games remaining for all teams.

First time I see the table with all teams playing same no. of games. Since the start of the season, with Man U n Man City having delayed start, there were always few teams playing less games then others. Penultimate round of fixtures with fans allowed back will have 4 games on Tues and 6 games on Wednesday with the final round of games kicking off simultaneously on Sunday at 11pm.

Looks like it will be 2 from Leicester, Chelsea n Pool for the 2 remaining UCL places with both Man U n Man C already qualified. The team finishing 5th will go into UEL with either likely West Ham or Spurs fighting for last UEL spot. One of these 2 (7th place) will then play in the new Conference League.

I wanted Chelsea to beat Leicester

but Chelsea cannot score one.

Next season need to buy some strikers.

Chelsea should get that Mbappe, Haaland and Sancho

and get rid of all the deadwood.

Then I think Chelsea will challenge Man City for the title.

:D

I think with this front 3

Pep see this line up

Pep will laosai.

Bournemouth beat Brentford 1-0 at home and Swansea won 1-0 at Barnsley in Championship playoffs 1st leg. 2nd leg on Saturday with the Final on 29/5. If Bournemouth prevails, it would mean 1st time all 3 relegated teams went back up immediately. Inversely 2 of the 3 promoted teams went back down immediately with Leeds the exception.

Lots of reports from Sky Sports and other websites on Harry Kane asking to leave Spurs in the summer. Spurs have come out with an ambiguous statement that they are focused on finishing the season and nothing else. Think there is something brewing but which club can Kane go to as Levy will want to big price for him.

I don't think Man United will buy as they seem focused on getting Sancho n also with Cavani signing on for another year and Greenwood being touted to be the long term main striker.

Man City may possibly bid for him and they would be frighteningly strong with him leading the line but then again Pep has been playing with false 9 for alot of games this season n hv been successful with this system. Chelsea may also want Kane but bitter rivalry between the 2 London rivals seem to rule this out. I also think Kane wants to stay in EPL n try for Shearer's all time EPL scoring record. Interesting times ahead........

City hasn't spend "big" on one individual and would be interesting if they are willing to fork out $100+ mil for 1 player. A proper striker (can't see Jesus as one) will add another dimension to City's game so couple of thing I can think of for Pep:

  1. Get someone older (and perhaps cheaper) like Ings to tong for 1 to 2 seasons
  2. Develop academy player Delap by learning from (1)
  3. Go all out for Haaland since he is much younger and has longer shelf life.

Can Kane go to Liverpool? 😁

Pool go for value buys ie those that hv sell on value. Kane doesn't fall into this category for sure.

Even those that have sell on value  like Haaland n Mbappe etc, I doubt Pool will go for them as the initial cost is easily over 100mil each for them which Pool will not fork out unless they get substantial sums for selling Salah, Mane n gang. Last time they forked out big money for Allison and VVD, money was from Coutinho sale.

Your point 1 is dependent on point 2. City like Chelsea are impatient so seldom have home grown. Foden is an exceptional player hence he is more the exception than the rule. So I personally doubt this will happen.

Point 3 is very possible. Haaland has a good chance to join City as their pockets are deep enough to bid for a player of his quality. His dad is also an ex City player. All depends on what Pep wants. I doubt they will go for Kane though. That said if Haaland proves unattainable, Kane could be the replacement target. We shall see.......
