Is China using their local telco data or have VPN?  If local data without VPN, you can still wechat, alipay etc but there will be no google, youtube, whatsap etc

eight is using Singapore network which can still have google, youtube, FB, whatapps, and at the same time, no issue with wechat, alipay. The only time you need VPN is when you want to use the hotel wifi, or set your IP back to singapore to watch netflix, disney+ streaming :D

Doesn't v019 only work from SG for IDD?

I haven't had issues with Z1 roaming anywhere so far, too.

Hi, when roaming I supposed you are referring to data roam, how about making IDD calls ? Like at times we may have to call local car rental companies,  friends, local setup or making even calls to singapore land lines ?

V019 is the prefix for making international calls from Singapore, cheaper than 001.

When overseas, you dial the local number directly without the 019/001, but pay roaming call charges..... Data, usually, these days, is free but mostly you cannot dial a local number with data.

I think can still make local call while overseas or call back singapore, but I usually use wechat to call the local business or hotel, restaurant, transport, etc.

Hi guys, anyone here on Gomo Plan.. the $18 p/m. I have a query here say for Data roaming in Thailand. See attached screen shot.

Does it means I have roaming of 10+8+10 GB..total 28GB roaming in Thailand for that month ? I did checked the countries coverage includes Thailand.

If anyone's looking for a cheap SIM, $6 for 1TB 4G from Circles Life.

http://bit.ly/ALL1TB6WEB

The promocode might expire. But it looks like no roaming.

Good for use on a sim router at home. In today context roaming is a must for a sim plan. 😁

Roaming calls are so important in emergency situations overseas.

Not all virtual telcos provided that. Not many people know thinking that whatsapp is enough.

Without it, you cant even call the local police or Singapore embassy if you are in the middle of no where.

Sms as well for otp.

Without that otp literally you are handicapped overseas.

Data are good for social media, map, translation app. Which can be done using WiFi with proper planning.

Roaming is a must.

I'm using one $6.90, 1TB on my SIM router. Last month exceeded the data. They sent me email about video slowing down.

My tv video suddenly not working well, although my desktop internet connection was still working. I switch to another SIM card to run down the date to the following month. Fortunately, they didn't charge me for any extra data that I exceeded. 😅
