When everyone flocked to Eight, SH network slow down too, don't tell me now people are migrating to Singtel's mvno, which I did few months ago. :D

Laggy speed issues at indoors, basement, MRT tunnels etc are common lah, all telco have this issues somewhere sometime.

Yup. Go to places where bird no lay eggs… then you have the cell tower to yourself. Surely good signals.

worst will always be at national stadium where you have 70k in a 200x200m space

top up to get more is like signing a contract.

You can't move in case something goes wrong (or you lose everything).

Or when even cheaper and better plans come around.

Doubt it can go much cheaper.
also local data is more than enough.
the only benefit is maybe for those who travel to get more overseas data.

I was looking for a roaming plan to go Malaysia and am glad to have signed up Simba for a $12 plan, for my road trip to Genting Highland.

Was thinking to get from the usual esim reseller, or even Singtel, then thought maybe can give Simba a try since iits 600GB local bundle is good for Malaysia too. All pale when comparing against the 600GB bundle lah.

My only worry is only when in Genting if its roaming partners can provide good coverage. My conclusion is can, provided you tech savvy enough to change to the 'best' network operator where the difference is between bang balls regret and becoming a loyal fan. In short, Simba has 3 roaming partners in Malaysia, and from my experience it will tie you to My CelcomDigi by default. So if your hotel room facing is bad, very spotty reception at best. But the situation would be different if you change the roaming partner to U Mobile. At the Theme Park, the speed test result I got a few times is around 75Mbps Vs 2.5Mbps.

So I am sold. But will cancel the line after subscription for the month ended as no contract.

Last night was basement of RWS, and slow to connect...... Could say busy and/or indoors.

Would this be an issue with 4G and 5G meaning switching up also comes with the same problem? With a connection, speed itself is okay for me.

Technically 4G is about 25~100Mbps, 5G is 300~1000Mbps, 5G is like 10 times faster.

But actual 5G usage speed depends on a lot of factors, number of nearby base stations, proximity to base stations, crowds in the area, changing usage pattern like watching prawning shows in 4K instead of 360p lah, etc etc. Also take note certain telco's 5G did draw flak for slower than expected speed.

4G switching to 5G is certainly a trend telco wish to see, cause of higher fee and possible one less network to maintain. Personally I will stay put with 4G unless they throttle speed until intolerable. :D

I am currently on a $12/month Simba plan.

Good for China, Malaysia and some parts of Indonesia travel.

Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen no problem.

So far so good except for at Arunika Eatery Cisantana - This one totally no signal at the hilltop Japanese-styled restaurant in Indonesia.
