I just re-contracted with Singtel- SIM-only 12-month contract

$20, including 40GB data, 1000 mins talking time, 500 SMS and free caller ID.

I got this promotion from an email sent by Singtel.

I got the same one a couple of months ago, but they gave me only 30GB 😒 Lucky my usage is usually only in single figures mostly finding WiFi but now looking to put wife on the following, from Chine Mobile;

my M1 SIM-only is on 1 year contract.

Mobile data coverage has been patchy based on butt feel so looking at operators.

GOMO was on my shortlist until I found that Zero1 had cheaper plans.

Make sure you port over only after the last day of contract for M1. They charged me $15 more even though I port over with less than a week left.

Anyone tried ViViFi? Their lite plan at $8.80 is suitable for seniors with light usage. My dad is on my mobile share plan at $15.75, this is a cheaper alternative, and runs off Singtel too.

I subscribed for my mum starhub’s $8 senior citizen plan - 5GB, 350mins, free caller id. No complains.

Why no one talk about TPG?

As long as you don't take cover regularly ,  their coverage is pretty good.

I have the TPG card in my mate20pro ... then my mate9 is still on singtel contract. Then I set my m20p as hot-spot and then use my m9 to tether to it.

My singtel contract only 4gb ... So I have the tpg 50gb for data. So far no issue. Speed also good.

Both my phones support dual SIM.

But I think it's safer to have two providers just in case one cocks up.

And when my singtel contract ends,  I'll just take up another cheap SIM only line from another provider then tpg then can already.

For those with dual phones yes.

I think more important to have different provider for home fibre + hp network haha. Though 3G/4G and Fibre seldom down at the same time.

My home is M1 fibre. now diversify off my HP to non-M1.

I clicked on that link, but can't seem to go anywhere. Do you need to make appointment or can sign up online ?

Need to book e-appointment. They will call your parent for verification and submit IC details plus delivery of SIM card (free). Will take a few days.

Just port over 3 line from Singtel combo 2 corporate plan to TPG last month - $10 , 50GB Data , 300 mins outgoing call / 30 outgoing SMS , freel incoming call / SMS / caller ID , so far signal coverage no issue even in Jurong Island 😃☺️

sign up TPG senior citizen plan for mum too  , 20GB Data , 300 mins outgoing call / 30 outgoing SMS , freel incoming call / SMS / caller ID , no additional surcharge if data exceed 20GB ,  $5 till July 2021 , thereafter @$10

There was one month when I had both starhub and m1 fbb together... But the SH was free lah....😁 Now switch to SH as on contract.

Sounds good.

TPG is it's own network?

How does making calls work? Used to be via an App?

There was a limitation to the handsets that would work, for VoLTE.

With so many MVNO sim only plan at below $10 a month, TPG's $10 plan with its patchy network is really not a value proposition anymore. I am switching out soon. Quite often, zero bar on my phone.

It depends... I work in cargo complex... Reception is good here....

As long as I don't go under ground,  the signal is good here in the East.
