SIMBA no network access this morning around 2 to 4 am around Jurong area. Can't stand this sh.t, when you have to make money relying on wireless network access.

Looks like I'll be moving to a MVNO on Singtel RF network.

I just signed up for zero1 starter plan for $7.

I ditched SIMBA due to bad experience.

Hopefully, I don't meet that network problem anymore. This morning was quite traumatic for me as a PHV driver.

I got trip pickup, drive halfway the network goes down. Got one pickup at Ng Teng Fong hosp, I drive there to tell him, I can't start the trip, as my network is suddenly down. But he agreed to cancel the trip and pay me cash instead, as he didn't want to wait.

Then the network comes back later and I got another pickup. Then it died again. But this time was too far for me. I just head home with a non-working network. Try to find another area where there's network to cancel trip.

A few weeks ago, it had happened previously, when network just goes down.

I think they are not ready for Prime time yet, and they want to start broadband service ?

Simba, formerly TPG. Notorious for the  sub-standard network coverage.

no worry about zero1. Even if exceed the 6gbs limit you can still surf the social media, goggle maps etc. I can even watch YouTube, Korea streaming site at their throttle speed. 😁 As long as you are not into gaming.  Should be fine.

Be safe on the road. Don't let frustrations get to you. Zero1 should be ok.

Zero1 which is using Singtel network should not have problem. Having a stable and good network indeed very important esp as a PHV driver.

If your life depends on network, think out of the box. Get a cheap phone with 2 sim cards.  Blind spots are there for all network, network once in awhile will down....just switch network when needed.

Could it be they doing maintenance work? Coz once a while I get message from my MVNO (Myrepublic), that certain off peak hours they will schedule some maintenance work, no network will be available from these times.

If really a essential for work, then better to have at least two different network providers ready.

I've only received SMS from Starhub when they do maintenance usually on tv system. I've never received any from MVNO, giga, vivifi, SIMBA.

I've registered for zero1, it will be used as my main SIMCard. PHV apps are locked onto the phone number, so it can't be changed easily, as when the network fails at that time. If I encounter again network failure on zero1, then I might get SIMBA, with a new number, as a backup, since it's the cheapest.

Guess singtel might be thenetwork with the most 'up' time. I also switched to Zym a week ago, for singtel network. Strange is I can't get VoLTE and  VoWifi on Zym to turn on.  Not a priority, but wondering howcome the best network can;t have this Volte feature on?
