All these high data with low price, I wonder if they are on 4G or 5G networks?

the default is 4G. if its 5G plan they will say. price will be different too.

Turbocharged

My handphone is currently on Singtel and paying ~$50 monthly for 70GB, 1000min talk time and 1000SMS.

I actually only need the 70GB for zoom meeting and watching Youtube outdoor, and don't quite need so much talk time and SMS.

I have this feeling that I am overpaying the subscription and am thinking of switching Telco (btw, my current subscription will be expiring very soon).

But I still want to keep my 20 year old telephone number.

Do you have any good lobang?

Look for those SIM only plan from telco like Zero1, giga etc which offer high data usage plan at around $15-$20. This type of SIM only plan, no problem in keeping your current number.

Plenty to choose fr in e sub $20 category as per @13177 mention, some offers "unlimited" data (throttled spd) after u used up ur allocated GB, also some offers free roaming data....ur needs n choices.

I know currently zero1 (singtel line) is having an offer $15/mth for their 50u plan 50G+50G (12mths) & 1G data roam (12 mths). But since ur current line is w singtel, u better chk w zero1 can port over bo...

Do take note w mvno line....personal experience when in a large crowd (new yr eve pty, after concert, etc), reception is ok but data (whatsapp etc) is damm shitty (nvr tried calling)

Even if you don't want to leave SingTel, change to their SimOnly plan and you'll still get 1000min, 500SMS and 60GB at $30 but @zipping is better with just one additional step to port-in your number from Singtel whilst using the same network.

Simba (formally tpg) network coverage may not be as good as the other 3 Telcos.  I use zero1..

Doesn't the calling function still only work on a limited number of handsets? Otherwise must use an app, right?

Require phones with VoLTE function. Most newer phones have this function.

But there is a list of "approved" or at least tested handsets. I thought already it did not work on my boy's phone even with VoLTE, but that was a couple of years ago.

We don't use popular handsets ☺️

I'm on SIMBA Seniors plan, my wife is using SIMBA 50G.

Generally, we don't have problem with their networks or data access. Although, we always think the other 3 telcos have better coverage, bcuz they are "older".

Newer phones should all support VoLTE, compatible with their system. Maybe very early phone adopters to VoLTE may have issues, but it's probably due to the phone itself. My LG (long time ago, before SIMBA) supports VoLTE, but could not work properly with m1, StarHub.

As SIMBA is no-contract, like many MVNO; if you're not happy, you could easily switch to giga (doesn't support VoLTE), vivifi, zero1, etc... the following week or month.

Anyone switched from one Simba plan to another Simba plan before? Faq seems to say can be done online but could figure out. Or have to go to their AD shops?
