MIL told wifey I said she was anal retentive.

I never said anal retentive, I said tree killer.

What I meant was wifey is very organised and detail oriented and a treasure to travel with.

Although no hotel has every said they don't have our booking and wifey has never needed to pull out her neatly filed in her document folder the actual confirmation letter.

Anyway wifey said I can sleep in the living room tonight.

No big deal England playing at 3am and I was going to sleep in the living room anyway.

Not only her....... I turned up to a hotel in Vietnam and they said "No Booking"

I had BnW and was lucky they had rooms available so I "rebooked" at the check-in counter. Took 4-6months to get my money back from the website, I think Hotels. but claimed back the higher rate the hotel charged, rather than H.com price. Stick to principle, argue, be persistent and organized, they paid up.

Just to circle back to this post I made in mid Nov. I've finally went ahead to get the $10 deal, after confirmation, they sent me an email with a QR code, scan that and the eSim is setup on my wife's iPhone XR. Wife landed in Japan over the weekend and just switch the mobile data to this new eSim and everything works!

She will only be in Japan for about 5 days, 3GB will be more than enough. Thought perhaps some of you low data usage person may be interested. I will cancel the plan when she is back. Otherwise they will charge $10 per month.

looks like its a user problem. so hotel booking site no hue her.

nowadays a lot of people think they are good at multi-tasking ...

drive, use phone to chat, send whatsapp, book cinema tickets with popcorn + hotdog, order deliveroo all the same time. 

am pretty sure in this case she did a wrong step somewhere in the booking process and is still oblivious that she made the mistake.

hmm either u booked it or didn't book it. Nowadays its all pretty standard. There isn't much to confirm or what once past the automatic process. 

It's only confirmed like 2 weeks pre departure? when your CC details are released and the pre-charge starts.

Anyway if it's a chain, i try to book with the individual hotel nowadays. Usually no difference from the Booking/Hotel/agoda rates.

Looking at phone while driving 99% people confirmed cannot make it. Even just that 1-2 sec glance. But sadly many people still do it.

happen to me once in Shanghai, i checked into a hotel and suppose to come back 2 days later to stay there again and thought i booked the room but end up it didn't go through. Tried to book on the spot but they were sold out on those date.

We then went to city area and walk in another hotel to check, the front desk ask me to book online easier hence i use the hotel wifi to log into my expedia account n managed to book 2 nights at a much cheaper rate, no wonder the staff ask me to book online

So many times I booked hotel for MIL.

Not once has the hotel said no such booking

and poor MIL has to sleep on the streets.

Which website has the most problems?

I will use that one to book for MIL in future.

Mine activated ard midnite on e day of collection. Say will send sms but tat sms is sent to 01 sim 😅, so e telltale sign tat can use e new 01 sim card is e signal of e old sim card goes "no signal".
