Registered for new Simba line online yesterday. Collected the sim card and was told 5 mins will be activated. Compare 4G speed with my M1... Simba way ahead n M1 couldn't even see the car tail light. :D

thanks. registered with Zero1 last night with $1 off promo code and opted for self collection at post office.

Just saw my invoice for my Zero1, since my billing cycle is mid of current month to mid of next month, Zero1 already charged me 8% GST for that few days in Jan 2023.

Must be something new. Last year when I signed up there wasn't any app available. Only allowed access by using zero1 website sign in. Good I will go download it later. Thanks.

I switch on WiFi and I can see so many neighbors WiFi.

People must live in really big houses not to see their own WiFi.

:D

I am so envious.

Be kind and helpful to the old lady next door and help her setup all this complicated router business.

And help her put in a password she cannot forget. Old people memory not so good.

Password is good.

Then can cancel traffic light companies and save  $42.90 a month.

:D

That's $515 a year!

Kindness pays.

I would like to find out if it is viable to go for a 4G SIM card router with a cheap data subscription instead of fibre broadband?  I don't do games.

based on my argaration, 1 hour of 720p/1080p content (youtube, streaming) consumes used around 1.5GB.

so in my case fibre still the way to go at home.

Zero1 billing starts from date of sign on. So I lost 4 days for month 1. whahaha ...

that day I watched 1 episode of kdrama, 3-4 badminton matches, clocked more than 10GB on 5G network [sweatdrop]

I remember last time on 4G network hardly cross 5GB watching whole day [laugh]

yeah, that's why I have friends who habitually switch to wi-fi whenever they reach home.

so they can stream on the mobile devices stress free.

got "sorry to see you go" email from M1 but still receiving promo email and sms from them.

so had to go to M1 portal to opt out of receiving promo material via email, sms and phone.
