I only eat nonya type. Others no interest.
Old liao, i try not to eat glutinous rice products. Hard to digest...

very seldom eat for last couple of years. Good for hungry boys growing up. but seriously, most people don't need to eat so much for BF unless u are doing physical labour...

Glutinous rice products. Hard to digest. This one i agreed. Old liao or stomach digestion system not very good, better dont eat glutinous rice too much, esp after late afternoon. Cause at night no need to sleep if eat glutinous rice. Lol.

I just had Kim Choo 咸肉粽 for lunch today. Bought fr ntuc. The rice stuck onto the leaf wrapping and whole rice dumpling fell apart. But thoroughly cooked though.

I remember weeks back when I went Sheng Shiong, they have their own bak zhang for sale, freshly cooked and boiled from their kitchen. Less than $3 each iirc, probably using their own raw ingredients. Anyone tried?

Interesting. Will also go and find one to try. Never a fan of these Asian treats previously.

Ki Chang is abit like the Malay kueh Lopez actually. Eat with Gula Malacca. Some Ki Chang has red bean paste at the corner so can eat by itself but personally I prefer with Gula Malacca.

Among the few nonya places, I like rumah baba fred, but need to join their whatsapp broadcast/website to fast finger.

However recently standard not very consistent, got a few times the rice turned mushy.

those cantonese 裹蒸粽 with abalone, whole scallop, dried oyster, etc. $20 can lar, cos those also sized to feed a couple/family.

A regular hokkien bak zhang at $20 is quite siao.
