Panasonic vs Varta

Is Vartan brand good? Never heard of it. Only heard boch.
My current car is using Panasonic Q100L. The workshop I am going said they only have varta EFB Q85

Any reliable battery workshop in the west to recommend?

Check your car manual, they will mention the recommended specs of your car.

Q85 type is for most of the compact jap cars, should be correct.

What is important is the battery size or how much space is available for the battery.

I have seen EFB battery that can do start/stop as well. 

If you can do w/o using the start/stop function I suggest you disable it or ask the AD workshop to disable it for good.

EFB battery will be cheaper than AGM battery.

If I not wrong, both are using lead-alloy battery technology. If you want the battery to last longer, can consider calcium alloy technology. 

They can last longer than the counterpart.

 

For environment conscience consumer, you can consider choose calcium alloy battery. 🙂

I gave then Varta Q85
 

One quoted me $180
 

While the other quoted me $258 but he ended with Q85 65AH

if EFB batt ok la not bad but don’t expect to last like AGM esp got start stop.

 

and best to replace with the same size.

was told even for same capacity, battery has 2 sizes, tall for Japanese cars and long for Conti cars.

Autobacs told me one.
