Every quarter since Q1 2022 pay the same amount mcdonalds share is about $260 per share, 1.38 dividend per share means 5.52 per year, that translates into 2% per annum, it is low by today standard, and after massive restructuring(cost cut), share holders can expect to get very little more than 1.38. I am working in US MNC all my life, know and learn enough of the dirty tricks. Edited January 9, 2023 by Ct3833 ↡ Advertisement

Bringing it onshore to pay higher dividends could resulted in large tax bill in US.

Many large listed us corporation are using country like ireland as tax haven by channeling all their profits there, but in the end would share holders get to benefit ? Go find out how many large tech firms are doing it, or maybe easier to see who is not doing it🤣🤣 Edited January 9, 2023 by Ct3833

By on-shoring these income, shareholders may not get more than what’s paid now.

McD share price has almost doubled in 5 years, so I am sure the shareholders are happy with the cost cutting which will allow the company to make more money and do more share buybacks.
