If you believe you want family to come first, invest more time with them, then you will get better bonding with them. If you believe you want your career to come first, then invest more time with your boss and colleague, then maybe you get promoted and get a raise. If you believe you want yourself to come first, then invest more time with yourself, exercise, eat healthy, travel more. then maybe you will get to know more about urself. The unfortunate thing with working life is, it is always full of sh##. How often you goes to a meeting and spend the entire morning listening to craps and even if there is really something to share, most came out not knowing exactly what was discussed. It's just like asking you to choose between health and happiness. I'll choose happiness because even if I am not healthy, I am still happy. And getting the right type of spouse Some people are successful in their careers, but family is cui. Wife ask for divorce or kids are ne'er-do-wells. Some people have happy family life but only moderate career success.
