200 planes imagine the planning and logistics and intel that goes along with it + preparations for the counter strike which they nullified.

Must try to predict isreali pov.

Iran... actually just some of the mad mullahs imo... have repeatedly and clearly  said they want to wipe isreal off. But they never really had the physical ability, so isreal took them as more or less a barking dog. Noisy... but tolerable. talk big only no real intention.

Then Oct 7 happened. Take note it supposedly was to include a second front from Lebanon by hezbollah. So it was intended to be much much worse. And iran was held ... by isreal.. responsible.

THEN... iran launched ballistic missiles. That's it... it then had the will plus theoretical ability to wipe isreal out with a nuke warhead. Justification to attack cleared.

THEN isreal penetrated Iranian airspace like no problem. Ability to attack iran cleared.

And here we are. Right or wrong.

But in hindsight, if iran had just STFU and minded it's own business... NONE of this would have  happened.

The iranians would also have to give up their nuclear ambitions or at least surrender control of it to be decided by IAEA or western powers. It is like china at the tail end of the qing dynasty, the sense of being bullied by foreign powers. Except iran has drones and ballistic missiles.

Even if the iranians suddenly played nice, I don't think the israeli can tolerate them ever possessing enriched uranium and the expertise to run a nuclear research programme.

One thing interesting is how deeply the israeli intelligence have penetrated into the upper echelon of iranians and operating almost freely in the country. Can't do that without ground support from disenchanted iranians - and it seems that there are many - from the scale of the last 2 ops which completely destroyed iranian air defences and nuclear facility including taking out the senior leaders and experts. The israeli can actually know these people are holding a meeting, the time and the secret underground venue. Almost as good as someone sent mossad an invite.

Yup.... i belive iran spends as much on internal security as other arms.

During the past protest, I was frankly surprised at what Iranians were saying on the Internet forums. The hatred for the mullahs is intense.  Deeply divided society.

Iran's leader must be pissed off mossad ran around under the noses of his top generals. Well, they're dead now, so they paid with their lives.

Strange that israel now vacated all their global embassies and ask it's citizens to lie low. Using nukes next?

Worried about retaliatory attacks on their citizens and embassies in foreign countries especially in Europe and US. Like in the US recently 2 of their embassy staffers were gunned down. Too many crazies, lone wolf out there.

Hopefully those peace loving Iranians, aka Shah supporters, will rise up and overthrow the mullahs.

Not sure about that. Just like Oct 7 united israeli on different sides of the political divide, hitting the iranian may have the same effect of uniting them.

Not sure every Iranian want to have nuclear missiles and use it against Israel.

Not sure Israel strike has united Iran.

Maybe it's like Gazans new hatred for Hamas and raiding their food warehouses to take back aid for the Palestinians people stolen by Hamas and charging them a high price for what is essentially free and belongs to the people in the first place.

Sure Gazans cheered Hamas on Oxt 7 just like how Argentina people cheered Gen Galtieri when he invaded the Falklands islands.

When he lost the war he was quickly removed.

Not sure many Iranians support their Aiyah Tolong Lahs now.

:D

There are Iranians who are cheering the Israel kicking the ayatollah. I also getting feel the Syrians are cheering too, coz the ayatollah regime was supporting Assad oppressing the Syrian. Don't know about Lebanon, but with the ayatollah gone, they would see Iranian proxies having less influence.

Learn from the Russia's invasion of Ukriane, security guarantee is meaningless. Better to depend ownself than rely on someone's assurance.

What a time we are living in now. A re-shaping of Middle East political powers and factions in just 2 years or so. All triggered by what Hamas did.

I fear for Isreal. Iran is the descendants of the great Persian empire! Even the mighty Spartan fear them.

They could shoot 1000 of missiles towards Israel and the iron dome will be overwhelmed. Just like how the Persian rained thousands of arrows towards King Leonidas and his elite army. (if you watched 300 film)😅
