Well if its an organic (with no external stimulus) revolution, it would be totally legit and probably for the better.

But Food for thought.

Saddam was minority Sunni and held power over majority Shia. 

Is the average Iraqi life now better after the US occupation or before? 

No idea man. 

There are many older Russians and Eastern Europeans who said they prefer how things was back then under communist rule. Hah. To those of us who grew up differently, it's inconceivable, but many of those with parents from that generation or were teenagers when it changed, lot of them seem to prefer that simpler life then.

Iran is like Qing dynasty in the sense that they are being forced to sign an unequal agreement by foreign powers. There is no "negotiation" to talk about. Israel and US will not accept anything other than Iran giving up its nuclear ambitions.

errr... saudi arabia already openly say they will not accept iran going nuclear. Saudi Arabia WILL go nuclear if Iran allowed to. Though clearly Saudis have no problem with Isreal being nuclear ... quite ironic, cos they know Isreal is no threat. The other middle east states are certaintly same opinion but smartly just let big bro Saudi speak.

so this isnt a "foreign power" thingy. Its the ayatollah thingy.. and the iranian state itself..  being a kamakaze nutcase no one trust with nukes.

Probably unlikely for the life of Iranians to change abruptly even with changes to current authority, 

They have 3 main group of elites, probably like MY, whoever in power will try to dominate and squeeze the rest for the best of themselves.

Israel is big brother there with an even bigger brother USA backing them up. Nothing Saudi can do about it if Israel wants to have nuclear weapons. I mean, most of the arab states gang up together to fight Israel also cannot win. So I think the saudi just LL kind of acceptance. They can't do anything about it. 

I don't think Israel will allow other Arab state not even Saudi to go nuclear too, so Saudi just talk for fun only about going nuclear
