I removed my spare tire a few years ago. I was still going back to AD for servicing at that time and the checklist always gets a tick for spare tire check. But there was no more spare tire.

When u collect car after servicing, u never "scare" them by reporting "lost spare tire"?

This is to teach them dont blindly tick without checking.. lol

I share with you my experience of servicing at C&C

my windscreen washer was full before servicing

they charged me for refilling it

me - it was full

C&C - oh, we sucked it out and refilled it with genuine mercedes washer fluid

me - I filled it with genuine mercedes washer fluid that I bought from you guys

C&C - oh....

when your 4 main tires are due for change, what do you do with your spare tire?

Keep as it is (Do nothing)? Will the spare tires quality degrad as the years passes?

Just change your 4 tyres. The spare tire will eventually degrade. that goes without saying.

The rule of thumb is to inflate all your tyres to keep it in good condition for as long as possible. I will pump my spare tyres if i were to go on to a road trip. Just in case i need it.

For normal driving, if really kenna a puncture, then is either slowly drive to the nearest tyre shop or call for help.

last time my W204 had full size spare tire, same wheel as the rest of the four

I included it in tire rotation following the pattern below when the car was new

first tire change onwards, I kept the worn 5th wheel in the boot as spare wheel, back to four tire rotation

My car had a slow puncture. TPMS warned me.

Took out electric and pumped it 40psi.

Drive to tyre shop to get it repaired

Can always change to run flat tyre. Spare is redundant imo.

If you car torque and Hp isn’t high, Run flat is a dredge to have

Yours are those that pump into the tyre and then when there is the puncture,  will automatic seal ?
I referring to those which is when puncture,  spray into the tyre then pump to pressure.
I guess my concern is that might damage the TPMS sensors.

I DIY at home, one wheel at a time, unlikely to mess up 😁
