Supercharged

Ok I did it. Changed to profender.

Its somehow maybe 10% more comfort at 8/8 clicks while feeling firmer. Dunno how to describe but its somehow more planted and comfy.

Was told the stock conti tyres are known to be harsh riding and owners who changed tyres to say Hankook get a better ride even on stock shocks.

Waiting for Michelin Primacy 5 Energy to be in stock now.

how much is it? is the height adjusted by compressing the spring preload, just like the KWs?

Just below 1.7k when i booked during promo period. Now 1.9k iirc.

Yeah height adjustable but directly from cylinder, no spring preload.

I kept it stock height.

1st Gear

what issue do you encountered after the software update ?

  • proximity alerts continued to buzz after object had moved away.  Had to restart car to kill alert. Happened twice within 24hrs of upgrade. :(

BYD sealion 7 2026 model is out. It seems like essentially the same car. The changes are bigger battery (thus heavier) and colour options.

Looks like all BYD Sealion 7 are now going to export markets since very few in mainland China domestic market wants them - only doing around 100 to 300 units per month. Domestic competition is quite fierce and the Sealion 7 is still sitting on the older e-Platform 3.0 Evo with the older Blade Battey 1.0, so this isn't helping with local domestic sales.

BYD is doing much better in exporting the older Sealion 7 to markets outside of China where the demand is higher and BYD can earn more profit per vehicle. Car News China article here: https://carnewschina.com/2026/07/07/over-215000-sold-byd-sealion-7-quietly-exits-chinese-domestic-market-for-export-focus/

China like the Tesla style no button and also flat backside SUVs more.

But yah many better EVs in China. And all so cheap. I sure buy Denza GT if I in China.

Aussies seem to like the SL7 the most. And most buy the Perf model. Their electricity is so cheap and no oppressive hp tax.
