2. Folders work for me. And if your mp3 file has artiste/genre tag, it can sort by that too

it can find songs in different folders, but cannot play songs from specific folder only

Huh, mine can leh. I select folder and it will play only songs from that folder.

i dont see the folder option.

Ok i rem now. I used MP3 tag program on PC to update _album_ tag on my tracks. Once the MP3 file has the album field, the Sealion 7 can recognise by album. So treat albums as the effective folder. Then u select album to play that 'folder'

Looks like one has to spend some extra cash (about $2k) to improve the ride and handling after purchasing the SL7.

Old news lah, its been here for months and many already swapped.

The stock suspension is too stiff for some people. Its made for better roads than Singapore's patchy stuff.

Anyone checked if such mods affects the warranty?  I remember some AD are pretty anal about unofficial mods to their cars..

It would have been better that Sime Darby / Vantage Auto include the Profender coilovers on the BYD Sealion 7 as a value added feature to improve ride and handling. With the $35k to $41k money jiāngshī (吸血鬼) 🧛‍♂️ gross margin earned on each SL7, setting aside a bit to value add seems a no brainer to me. 

Sime Darby / Vantage Auto could bulk order the coilovers from Autoclinic for SL7 and get it for much less than what retail would have to pay; i.e. it'll be much less than the retail price of $2k.

The SL7's ride and suspension can then be tailored to suite the roads of Singapore and to individual customer preference - based on the 16 settings available on the Profender coilovers.  It would leave a good and lasting impression to the customer, and that's what good service is all about.

But then again, AD's are generally blood thirsty when it comes to "taking" from hard working Singaporeans. If one is considering a SL7, would ask the AD if there are any warranty issues on having the Profender coilovers installed after market, get it in writing that's okay and request on a $2k discount to cover the costs for installation. Actually, would need to double the discount as the coilovers would need to be replaced between 5 to 7 year mark and wont last the full CoE cycle.

I think the tyre would have exploded.. cos norm is around 35psi.. I think u meant kpa..

Here is a Youtube video by a Japanese owner of the Sealion 7 having the suspension system examined by a specialist. 

In the opinion of the expert, the suspension system is surprisingly well engineered and manufactured by BYD. No corners were cut.👍

Surprised to find out that BYD makes it's own shock absorbers (dampeners). Shows how much vertical integration that BYD has in it's manufacturing. Little out sourcing.
