I think a little more practice to get use to. Older car park are generally narrower and parking space with columns including those with hose reel are to avoid. Go park elsewhere and avoid those old carpark lo. Aion V not say very big or small, you should able to get used to it after driving for some period. ↡ Advertisement

Victor68 Turbocharged June 8 Share June 8 I wonder other aion v owners experience the same. Most times, you walk away about 5-8 steps from the car, it auto locked. There are occasions you are more than 10 ft away before it kicks in but there are few occasions the auto lock didn't kicks in. I manually use the remote to lock it. When I return, it works normal. I am not sure if I have left it and continue to walk away, it would eventually lock itself. Being in a public place, I decided it is safer to lock it.

Victor68 Turbocharged June 14 Share June 14 Have figured out some features that I didn't realize earlier 😜. To spray water on your windscreen, press the button on your left stick where the wiper is and hold for 2-3 sec. If you hold your remote and stand behind your booth, the tail light will blink 3 times and the tail door open. Although it states you could have 2 driver seat setting, somehow at times it didn't stay and you need to set it again. This is something I am still trying to figure out.

If you have already set the respective positions into the memory, it should be inside the presets. If driver had make any adjustments from a preset, the seat will stay at the adjusted position in the next start-up. And you probably have to retrieve a previously preset position from the Seat Position menu.

Initially I thought my settings were not done in P position and I try to repeat it again. Then when I feel the setting isn't quite right, I go the driver setting and press that setting, the seat moves to the correct position. Will continue to monitor. The other thing I have a little trouble is the auto lock when driver leaves the car with the remote key. At times it lock when I am just a few steps away and within few seconds. There were occasions I walk about 3 -4 cars length away and stand waiting, yet it didn't lock. Any sequence or logic in this? Hmmm.. i have encountered such episodes too. 😅 And also sometimes i walked a U-turn to enter a walled stairwell just beside the car, it would initially auto locked when i walked away a few steps but when i entered into the stairwell the car would auto unlocked sensing that i had come back to beside it even though though there's a wall segregating the vehicle and me.

Why dont owners go back to AD and seek their rectification with the malfunctioning features malfunction? Decade ago owners surely will go back AD to bang table; be it jap, kor or conti. Victor68 Turbocharged Wednesday at 10:16 AM Share Wednesday at 10:16 AM Another episode of learning and hope others can benefit from my experience if you happen to buy EV and the agent provide the charger. I shall not mention brand but do take note. The charger company runs out of stock and provide me a temp charger. I have been using it for a couple of weeks. Then they got the replacement. This time the guys handed over all the instruction manual including 2 RFID cards. I ask him what are they for and he told me, I don't need them, just keep it. Then today I wanted to charge my car, it can't charge. Call the charger company and he told me to tap the RFID card on charger, provide me with the pin numbers before I could charge. Then he advise I can deactivate the RFID and set to auto. Next time no need to do this again. Wow lau, shouldn't they have done that in the first place despite I asking them about the cards? Remember, after each installation, try charging before you let them go.

First is through car dashboard menu, another is through car app. The last one most likely to miss would be by pressing the unlock button on car remote 2 or 3 times in quick succession. This method is mandated by the gov to all chargers sold in Singapore so that EV owners can safely pull out the charging cable easily for whatever situation, as told by my installer.

yongtuck4949 Clutched Friday at 07:01 AM Share Friday at 07:01 AM (edited) Just to share an unpleasant experience with AD service Center, i was told to go back for tyre rotation at around 10k mileage on my Aion v. The charges will be $60 as this consider an optional service. I booked an appointment for today since I scare outside workshop cannot calibe the tpms. My appointment was 10 am and I was told that I can collect my car roughly 3pm. 5 hours for tyre rotation @$60? I immediately took back my key and go off without doing anything since I do not want to spent 5hr there, what the point of booking appointment when making me wait so long for such simple thing Edited Friday at 07:04 AM by yongtuck4949 2
