Personally I take all the news about the accomplishment of both side esp their air force with a big pinch of salt. 

Other then this Rafale case.

Yes, I believe at least 1 Rafale was shot down as confirmed by the French (they should have the data). US has confirmed 2 kills.  There is also a video (as opposed to just photos) on CNN, which I would presume has been reviewed by experts. 

So at least 1 confirmed kill.

I dun want to say the china fighters are superior.  But I think their capabilities have surprises alot of countries,  esp the west. Until now, chinese fighter have not been tested yet.

In any case. I read some rumours,  france banded india from flying their  fighter atm.

Due to maybe poor training or failure to use the rafale to their full capabilities bababa. ( like i said rumours).

India have some of the worst air force in the world.  Look at their jets.

Russia mix with France.  So many different models. And their own developed so call high end pak50 with russia.  Does india have US FIGHTERS? 🤔🤔🤔

India operates a large (over 1,800) fleet of aircraft which is as diverse as it is large. They do have American aircraft in their inventory just not fighters - like C-130, C-17 and AH-64E. When you consider their legacy systems originating from Russia, some from French plus domestic, it is a complicated logistics tree. Our neighbor, Indonesia looks to be headed the same way. That being said, the diversity can be viewed in a positive light that not all of their eggs are in one basket like we are.

I am not sure of the 2 jets but Chinese PL-15 air to air missile with > mach-5 speed and range of more than 200km will be a big threat to the Rafale which I presume comes with the shorter range MBDA Meteor. 

No expert but logic says longer reach should have some advantage here.

To be fair, those Western jets are designed to be part of a larger integrated subsystem within a much larger organism.  so it's not really a fair comparison between a french air force rafale attack with Europe level support units and the Indian ones with vintage plane support and ceca all-talk style crew.

i think its very hard for any outsider to judge who is right or wrong there, its very very complicate, and it goes all the way back to even before the british landed.

but of course the british make it worst.

Their data link likely cannot streamline efficiently. Different models maybe can't talk to each other in the required manner... some Apple some Android😅

Pak J10 J17 and the HQ anti air missiles all using the same command net. ... could make appreciable difference in commanding a fast paced battle.
