Nope, they are what kids are .... naughty and mischevious. But I prefer them that way at least can see them growing up. My 2 older girls are in Primary school so more manageable .... my boy (6 yrs old) is often seen with me during our meetups. But youngest girl now getting naugtier by the day ... but still only 1 yr old only. I bought a new corolla .. trying to keep my engine to less than 3000 rpm ... then one day, I let some fren of mine drive car hor . at park position ... i think he stepped on the wrong pedal .. instead of hitting the brake pedal .. he hit the accelerator !!!! Wah lao !!!! Straight away goto 4000 rpm or even more ... MY GOD !!!! THe first time , he even tried to move the vehicle with the hand brake on ... and unfortunately, the vehicle did move !!!!! Wahlao Neutral Newbie July 24, 2003 Share July 24, 2003 it happens to everyone some time or another... this kinda reminds me of a similar situation I was in... on right turn lane also but got a biker in front... both of us beyond the stop line liao... traffic light turned red, right turn light goes green... bike din move, just stay there... I patient so waited abt 3 secs & he still din move... basket, must be sleeping ... I horn him to wake him up... suddenly noticed right turn light blinking ... stupid fellow slow reaction... when he began to move off the right turn light no more... damn it I wanted to chiong for it but the adjacent traffic lights turn green liao ... bloody pissed cos stuck in nowhereland... LL have to reverse back to stop line but got a TIBS bus behind so end up halfway out of stop line end of story moral of the story... horn early at them to wake up their ideas!!! Susacarimakan 4th Gear July 24, 2003 Share July 24, 2003 yup, saw that article. i thought the writer was being alittle condescending in his tone. anyways, tell u story, yesterday i was on the phone in my car at a carpark. this lady in a sunny came along and tried to park in the lot opposite me, she almost reversed right into the pillar instead! then she went back and forth several times, till even I couldn't figure out if she was trying to reverse into the lot or go head first into my adjacent lot! finally, this kind gentlemen came over and offered his help! but even then, he turned here/there and after 5 minutes, finally moved the car to another lot on the other end of the carpark! http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/images/smilies/laugh.gif[/img so i guess it was as tough for him as it was for her! HI, "...she almost reversed right into the pillar instead!" ??? How can that be? I vaguely recall a lady driver in MCF telling me "the stupid pillar knocked into my car" leh! Vtim 3rd Gear July 25, 2003 Share July 25, 2003 One way I've learnt is just let go of brake, and feel forward or backward creep a bit first before hitting accelerator - dat way can be more sure where U gonna go. that's what I did during my 1 mth trip to USA 2 years back Actually, even experienced drivers can get into trouble with auto cars - heard many times people used to manual, can rev-rev in gear because clutch depressed, sometimes forget and rev-rev auto car in gear then fly into wall or something. that's what we read from newspaper of cars ramming into shops, houses & carpark grill they always mistaken the throttle pedal as the brakes Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
