"Good" is VERY subjective. What is good enough for you may not be good enough for others. Do you say that a wife who doesn't cook for you, but loves you alot is a bad wife?

 

Someone may think that a wife who cooks good food AND wash the dishes after that is a good wife. Yet another may think that its not enough. She gotta be able to be 'active' after nights off then considered as good wife.

 

I'm sure everyone will agree that as long as she loves you and treats you well, she's a good wife. Right? Anything more will only make her a BETTER wife. Same goes for cars. Can get from pt A to B fuss free is a GOOD car. Got ABS, luxurious interior, etc makes it a BETTER car. Only cars that breaksdown in-between pt A and B is a lousy car.

.....aiyah ........wait a minute ah .......I don't think any car will ever break down everytime you want to go from pt A to pt B . .....if it did that's not a car .........that's scrapped metal .......and oso i don't think there is ever a car that never ever breaks down (actually touch wood, mine hasn't once in 3 years)................ok since we know the dictionary tells us a car is a machine with wheels and engines that takes ppl from pt a to pt b........... now let's talk about good and bad cars.......

 

 

.........my choice for a very good Korean car for its class......the Hyundai Coupe ........in general I think Hyundai makes very good cars .....the Santa Fe ....for its class....I would also consider very good.......

Actually if you are mod crazy, the Accent will be good. Tiburon/Tuscani all round disc rotors with its ABS. I believe it can take the Tiburon/Tuscani engine. Can be easily turbocharged. Can jiak Evo/WRX. Again a sleeper car.

Not everytime break down lah. What I mean by 'fuss free' is non-lemon. A lousy car is a lemon car. A lousy make/brand is one that produces lots of lemon, eg. Hyundai of the past. Soo many prob with the car. You never know when the aircon will suddenly breakdown, or the roof starts leaking during rain A good car gives you the confidence to travel with it with the thought of it breaking down very remote in your mind.

 

Infact, we can say that most of the cars we have today are GOOD cars. They are sooo good that manufacturers now gotta rely on stuffs like designs (interior/exterior), branding, quality of materials, etc to make their car stand out among the rest

 

Just having ABS alone isn't gonna make the car safe. Our fathers and grandfathers drove cars without ABS. Have our accident rates and fatal car crash rates dropped alot since the invention of ABS? Infact, we can even argue that ABS gives drivers a false sense of security, thus making them drive beyond their limits. Makes them even more dangerous. For example, if you drive a non-ABS car, you may restrict yourself to max 100kph. But with an ABS car, you'll think that the ABS makes the car safe and thus push your own speed limits to 140kph.

 

But generally, I would say that its a very good thing to have ABS, but its not a die die must have item. If our fathers can drive non-ABS cars and yet lived to see his grandson today, I don't see why we can't.
