Leonknapp Clutched October 14, 2004 Author Share October 14, 2004 Hi Husky, How you know the hi power shampoo remove ur old wax? Seems quite unlikely leh.. I think its like normal shampoo but slightly stronger. I think using this shampoo at a more diluted level should be fine for once a week washings. If it really strips wax then I suggest the Meguiars NXT wash. its big and the best value for money considering that it works very well for me. Cheers! Jameslai2004 Neutral Newbie October 14, 2004 Share October 14, 2004 Hello Bro. I'm also using it for my Red Hot Ride. It is value for money and saves time because it does gives the deep color shine after washing and even after drying up. Most of my friends now uses this product until once the D.I.Y shop run out of stock.

Husky Clutched October 15, 2004 Share October 15, 2004 How you know the hi power shampoo remove ur old wax? Got this info from Soft99 website at www.soft99.co.jp "Powerful shampoo combined special formulated surface active agent goes into dirt and wax residue and removes without harm on top clear coat." Anyway, I used the Hi Shampoo on my car, after that i rub my fingers over the car surface and it feels squeaky clean lor. The shampoo is not watery, it is rather thick and white like errr... [laugh] Btw, i used quite a far bit so i think it works
Husky Clutched October 15, 2004 Share October 15, 2004 so when will u be starting the whole process? Actually, i did it last night Ok, my procedure was: 1. Rinse the car with two buckets of water. 2. Use the Hi Shampoo to shampoo the car. I use a Micro-fibre mitt. Btw, I do it section by section and rinse off with water quickly. Btw, so far, i use the Micro-fibre mitts and i think they are really really good. No scratch marks (touch wood ) 3. Rinse off with four more buckets of water (more 20 cents to the garmen). 4. Dry with synthetic chamois. I use a large piece of chamois and just lay on the bonnet. I do not dry it by dragging the chamois 5. After drying, I apply the Fusso coat using the cotton towel that comes with me. I fight the temptation to rub in circles. Instead I lay it on with horizontal strokes going from obvious sections (doors, bonnet, roof) to non-obvious ones (side skirt, front and back lip). I am very satisfied with the results. It is easy and that is important for someone as lazy as me. It may not be showroom shine but it is good enough for me. And this morning when I went to my car, there is only small small dust on some parts of my ride. I don't need to be so hardworking liaoz Btw, i took this picture after the procedure (more picture on Showroom thread).
Ebos Neutral Newbie October 16, 2004 Share October 16, 2004 (edited) good work bro...u never apply the canberra wax after that? Edited October 16, 2004 by Ebos
Husky Clutched October 16, 2004 Share October 16, 2004 Thanks No, i didn't. Wanted to get Authentic Wax but i think it would end up hardly used anyway. Btw, i applied fusso coat very generously even though the packaging said you'll only 1/6 for a normal sedan.
Peterkoh Neutral Newbie October 16, 2004 Share October 16, 2004 Hi Bros, Recently discovered some excellent Soft99 products that I had to recommend after trying them out! 1st Product used was the 3M Swirl Mark Remover: http://www.properautocare.com/3mperswirmar.html This really give the paint a deep shine. Managed to hide many swirls but still not perfect as I did it using my hands. Overall still excellent results for an amatur like me. 2nd Product used was the Soft99 Fusso Coat 9 Months Protection: This product really amazes me as it is the easiest sealant I have ever used! The box contains a microfiber towel and all you have to do is pour some of the polish on the cloth and spread it on the car. It dries clear so you do not need to buff of any residue! So basically all you do is wipe ur car with the Sealant and its finished! Best is that it boasts 9 months of protection but I would take that with a big pinch of salt. Beats everything else in the market and is excellent for beginners. I suspect this product can be layered like Zaino for a deeper shine. 3rd product used was the Soft99 Authentic Premium Wax: A Pure Carnuba Wax, it really gave the car a 3D very wet glow. The paint actually looks like those of higher end cars such as the Benzs and BMWs! Very easy to apply, I simply used a foam applicator and applied the polish, waited about 15 seconds and wiped it off. Did panel by panel so as to not allow the wax to totally dry and become almost impossible to buff off. Can be layered so cant wait to apply my second coat! Sorry if I got too carried away but its the first time I managed to achive such excellent results by hand. Other Products I have used include Zaino, Glare and Autoglym and this probably beats them all! I have attached pics to see the finished article! Cheers! So how's the Soft99 sealant and wax coming along for you ? Do you apply sealant first or the wax or it doesn't matter ?

Steelblue Neutral Newbie October 17, 2004 Share October 17, 2004 Make sure your surface is as clean as possible before putting on sealant , if not the durability will be compromise. Also wait at least 24 hrs(just to be safe) before you kacau kacau the sealant , let it do its thing bonding to the paint
Genie47 1st Gear October 17, 2004 Share October 17, 2004 (edited) Wah! you very water conservative. I bring my 20m Claber hose with quick connects. I hose down but in the end, use about the same amount of water as you. Easier to hose than to splash water all round. Eh!, post your pics to Webcars professional detailing forum. Show 'em Americans what "slit-eyed" Japanese products can do. Edited October 17, 2004 by Genie47
Leonknapp Clutched October 17, 2004 Author Share October 17, 2004 Hi Peter, I have not applied any more sealants since then but have been quite generous with the Authentic. No regrets! the deep shine really rocks and makes the paint look like those of new Benzs! Anyway if u wish to apply both its the sealant first then the wax. Cheers! Husky Clutched October 17, 2004 Share October 17, 2004 Wah! you very water conservative. I bring my 20m Claber hose with quick connects. I hose down but in the end, use about the same amount of water as you. Easier to hose than to splash water all round. Dunno whether it is right to use hose in a HDB mscp leh. But i use at least 4 20 cents for lots of water, using a scoop to scoop the water up and pour it over the car lor. Need to rinse off all the soap residue... Aikshin Neutral Newbie October 17, 2004 Share October 17, 2004 does the authentic wax gives any residue ? so far most of the wax i used has a residue and it "stains" the plastics of the car any problem with this soft 99 wax ? cheers ↡ Advertisement
