Fitvip Supersonic February 17, 2005 Share February 17, 2005 Hi all, I am posting on behalf of my nephew who has some problems with his 3 Yrs + Megane Classic. The engine will die off when there is no throttle response. Last week it was towed to the WS . Scanning did not disclose any problem. Today, same problem happened again. The car just lost power and did not respond to the accelerator, and it needed to be towed to WS. Fitvip Supersonic February 24, 2005 Author Share February 24, 2005 Btw, my nephew's car remained in the workshop for quite a few days. He was given a Scenic to drive. They replaced the flywheel sensor, 4 ignition coils, filters etc.(They came to quite a lump sum, I think) When their chief mechanic tested it , the problem remained. My nephew spoke to the manager, requesting him to refer to Reanult France. The manager order the mechs to replace the fuel pump. And Bingo! the problem was solved!
