Orablue 1st Gear March 24, 2005 Share March 24, 2005 car is just a tool, can always repair or changed.... human life not so easy. driving while sleeping is highly dangerous. in other countries, the rest stop could be a distance away. in singapore, can always detour to some kopi shop and get a drink (non-alcoholic one.... sleepy+alcohol=> bo chun liao) think about what you could have done to another family... phew.. fortunately no one was hurt. Orablue 1st Gear March 24, 2005 Share March 24, 2005 can put some drinking water, sweets in the car... also can try turning the air-con colder.. shiver shiver then not so sleepy... the best is detour to somewhere safe and take a break... mai gair gair dong... haha.. scarlee slept thru the night... or people thought we try to commit suicide in the car... :-p hey... when you see someone sleeping in the car with the engine running... what's your first reaction? "dead or alive?"

Pisces69 6th Gear March 26, 2005 Share March 26, 2005 Agreed. Exactly what happened to me too. Trouble is SG is so small, our destination seems so close by, so we try to make it back then have a proper rest. I was lucky. I just ran up the right side divider only. Car behind me must have had a shock of his life when he saw what i did.
Zacka Neutral Newbie March 26, 2005 Share March 26, 2005 I got once an accident quite long ago. Actually not once.. But share with u all my experience. I was driving home from geylang... halfway i feel sleepy. Drivers are like tt one. If they feel they won't pull over, rest awhile at the shoulder, instead they will persue on. Extending their determination and forcing their mind eyes to open. I'm like tt.... When i was 2 traffic lights away from my place, i fall asleep. Coz the road is quiet no cars and onli street lamps. I woke up upon hearing the bang! But who knows i panick and step on the accelerator. End up i hit 8 road block ( those with water in it ) and got my car a puntured tyre. My right side are all gone. The thing is i was still new that time. So i don know what to do. Then i tried to push the car to make it move. In the end called a tow car and pay for everything. Quite a few thousands back then. Got a fright of my life. Never to sleep again...

Zacka Neutral Newbie March 28, 2005 Share March 28, 2005 Now i know how to stay awake liao. U on the Radio Loud ... Then off your aircon and lower your windows ... When u feel the wind blow .... and the music rocks (god...please no romantic music... play some music that will bom bom bom) Then u will stay up. Trust me... Else park at the side and sleep for 15 minutes set alarm. If u sleep too long... Police will come and think u drink driving....
Josephtan1234 Neutral Newbie March 29, 2005 Share March 29, 2005 If you are really sleepy, whatever you do, eat sweets, sing songs, open windows, also no use. You still doze off no matter what. Once I stopped by the shoulder and took a nap. That was sometime after my crash. I was in dreamland when someone knocked on my window and I woke up to 2 Tps outside my window. They were concerned for me, and I told them I was sleepy and took a nap. Then I was off after that, wide awake. Someone mentioned bj to stay awake ? You got to be kidding! That almost put me to sleep while driving! ↡ Advertisement
