Yeobh 4th Gear June 6, 2005 Share June 6, 2005 Back in the late 70's,in Jarkata, you have to pay to get your tire pump.Pumping nitrogen do not makes much sense if you are not in the circuit racing, after all the air you breath contains 78% nitrogen. ↡ Advertisement

Yeobh 4th Gear June 6, 2005 Share June 6, 2005 If you only need to get the toe right and the car moving straight ahead, go to shop with side slip tester - the price will be one third of the computrised machine setting

Clio Neutral Newbie June 6, 2005 Share June 6, 2005 (edited) rotate, balancing, cleaning of rim plus pump nitrogen is $20. but nitrogen not recommended. maybe you can share why pumping nitrogen is not recommended. As far as I know, it is lighter and last longer. not too sure...but alot of mech and workshop owner tell me no no...i didnt probe further. maybe due to the long term cost and little pro. how heavy is some volume of air? we dont drive for long journey...rarely our tire turn hot unless hard and high speed driving. so light and cool is crap in our traffic. once in nitrogen, forever in nitrogen. they give u free 1 time...u will need to go back everytime and pay them for it. last longer anot will depend on your valve. nitrogen pro is lighter and cooler. Yeobh 4th Gear June 6, 2005 Share June 6, 2005 Put your car on to a brake tester ( as it is being done in inspection centres ), and allow the brake tester's rollers to roll and you can easily see the wheel bearing dragging force, any difference between the two (of more than 10% )your ride will fail the brake test. Apply the brake gradually and you can see the brake force of both wheels builting up. There is such thing as unbalance brake force - they are cause by - a) high saturation of water vapour in the brake system, dented brake pipe or restricted brake hose, leaking slave brake cylinder and the last and not least wheel bearing not properly preloaded. Imprezawagon Neutral Newbie June 10, 2005 Share June 10, 2005 You will need to have proper camber kit to correct the angle in the first place. Just lower spring alone not so good. Makan tyre fast man. Good Coilovers comes with camber adjuster already Bigger rims are always known 2 need more attention cause the surface contact area wider and the stress is always higher than smaller diameter wheels. Even branded jap rims like Gram-lights, volk-racing, advan all need more rotation frequency. I'm running 17" 5Zigen for the last 4 years so tat's my advice :)
