In Singapore, the HRV is listed as 118HP only. Same engine and different output.

Boeing, whats the typical petrol RON in your country?

No, the engines are different: HRV's engine is SOHC whereas Vezel's is DOHC.

Yes,compared with Nissan Teana,Toyota Camry & Honda Accord,Mazda 6 is noisy, but suspension is tuned for Sporty driving,so also more bumpy,if you are looking for a Comfort & Quiet car,Mazda 6 is not for you....if you like very good handling with nice sporty shape..this is the car.

Totally agree. Those were the makes I considered before making my choice. Outlook and handing wise, mazda 6 wins hands down. FC is also better than Camry and Accord.

What you expects from not original,Made in China products.? [thumbsdown]

Back then I could not find original ones for Mazda 6...only available via Mazda Australia.

I got mine later from JDM, also not original, but it fits.

Was wondering if it would help to reduce noise level if one was to do sound proofing on the car?

Turbocharged

Change tyres, with sound proofing will improve a lot.

True. Also I figured that petrol car will never be stellar in city driving.

From several tests, I tested and achieve the followings:

1. Pure expressway ~22kml

2. Pure city with many traffic lights ~ 11kml

3. Mixed driving 50/50 ~13kml

Guess only hybrid will do well in city as the car moves off in electric mode.

Agreed bro. Diesel wld be nice too.

Just gotten my vezel X 2 days ago, till now havent experience the auto start/stop at junction leh.any problems?

Did you deactivate it by mistake or your car prob parked for too long and edlc not charged enough?

How do you guys get the best out of the CVT?

From 0-80km/h, I usually accelerate to 40km/h, (rpm will be around 3000), lift my foot off the pedal for the rpm to drop, then accelerate again to 80km/h

Is this kind of foot work correct for CVT? Sometimes I am tempted to put my foot on the pedal all the way till it goes up to 80km/h but the rpm shoots up very high and the system doesn't seem to change revs lol

In the news today - Vezel is the top PI car in Singapore for 2015. A total of 3,980 units were put on the roads last year. This accounts for 46.6% of the total 8,534 PI cars registered last year - nearly half. The Vezel has also propelled Honda into top spot as Singapore's most popular PI brand, overtaking the previously dominant Toyota.

Also, out of 57,589 new cars registered in Singapore last year, 14.8% were PI cars. The climb in PI market share was driven by the Vezel.

The 2nd most popular PI car last year was the Toyota Harrier, with 1,793 units sold last year.

with a refreshing concept, design, fit & finish and reasonable handling, performance & efficiency, honda has more hits than misses with the vezel.

toyota PI models r generally bland, basic and not particularly eye-catching, though practical. unsure if the recent sienta could match vezel popularity, though one's a 7-seater n the other 5.

Do you mean doesn't seem to change gear?

It depends on what are trying to achieve - cruising speed? to test 0-100?

Personally I find the horses really come out to play when rpm crosses 4000, but conservatives will say it is bad to rev beyond 2000.

You can only have fun with it for 10 years, before you decide whether to top up or not - just experiment, so long as you don't change from D to S without stopping.

Hi hsl118,

care to explain why cannot change from D to S while driving?

sometimes while climbing up at slope on slow speed, I changed to S.

Will it cause problems?

I also changed from S to D while driving (after I completed the slope climbing.)

hmm.. .will it cause harm to engine or something?
