Ara 1st Gear November 21, 2016 Share November 21, 2016 CTBA explains. http://www.honda.co.nz/technology/safety/cbta/ But why still CTBA? Now should be Honda sensing.
DeanZh Clutched November 21, 2016 Share November 21, 2016 Distance between your Vezel and the front obstacles varies according to your speed that you travel. For eg, like what you and another bro mentioned, I also did tried driving slowly and inching forward to the front car but CTBA was not activated at all. However, I experienced the CTBA twice recently, got the warning sound and flashing icon, but not the automatic braking yet. Happens when I'm traveling at around 60 to 70km/h. The front car braked suddenly and the warning/flashing occur. In short, it only works when they deemed that your vehicle is in a high chance of collision with the obstacle. This explain why it did not get activated when doing parallel parking.
Shader Clutched November 22, 2016 Share November 22, 2016 I noticed CTBA doesn't get activated when brake are applied. 2 occasions I usually get CTBA: At carpark gantry, driving through it the moment the arm starts going up. That's when CTBA kicks in and my brakes get clamped hard and I hear a loud grinding sound. Moving off from traffic when the car in front is deemed to be too near. I finally experienced the CTBA in action just now; twice in a row at the gantries. First time, the gantry is at a up slope. I was reaching the gantry and suddenly there was a loud beep followed by a loud grinding sound. The sound is as though something is brushing against my brake pads so hard; made my heart stop for a second. The second time at another gantry, the CTBA just beep for a few times but no further action taken.
Gevinchoo Clutched November 22, 2016 Share November 22, 2016 Thanks so much for previous reply. finally got my HrV from KM, during their promo. deal is much higher than PI-Vezel, like another 10k more +/-. but like others said less risk and i actually get more good deals: usual 3yr/60k/m service 5yr warranty 1yr road tax free 500 petrol/SHELL credit (can go 7-11) 10%+$200 off insurance(i got abt $450 first year w 50%NCD) trade in $1000 (optional) 49k COE rebate colour selection discount, another $2-3k if choose existing stock front recording camera factory fitted leather seats 6 airbags(i got the new Lx) manual switch (gear) reverse camera. i asked and they gave a logical explanation why they wont bring in Vezel hybrid anytime soon. makes sense to me. (and why after thinking thru w my Finance minister on HRV Vs Vezel) Only Neg abt the car is no built-in GPS, and need to get used to the rear passenger seat door opening, lol. Hope to get my car b4 Christmas, thanks again.

BlitzStryker 2nd Gear November 22, 2016 Share November 22, 2016 At the upslope gantry, did the Engine stop kick in and car roll back? Have not experience any auto braking for gantry yet, maybe due to my speed, driving over the bump quite slowly as the suspension is really quite hard. Seems harder than my old Subaru Impreza =/

Seems harder than my old Subaru Impreza =/ CTBA doesn't work when you depress the brakes. If you wanna test at the gantry, just let your speed go below 10km/h towards the gantry without depressing the brakes.

ulysses84 1st Gear November 23, 2016 Share November 23, 2016 Honda sensing is the upgrade version of this CTBA thingy right? So far i think HS is a good features to have. you need to drive for a period of time to appreciate the value of HS. Petrol Vezel/HRV too underpower with the heavy body. Hybrid is the current best option.

therock Supersonic November 24, 2016 Share November 24, 2016 Been going about some rough roads in Sarawak in a HRV. It takes these less than perfect roads well. The chassis is a bit bouncy and you will be able to hear the roads and the sound of the adjacent cars. There's a low roar from the rear wheels when you sit behind and you will be able to hear the 1.8l at work. But these noises are all present in my current ride anyway. What stood out was the incredible space in the rear. We had three in the rear and we were quite comfortable. There's space under the front seat for your feet and the armrests are quite handy. Despite the small size there's reasonable boot space. For M$140k it's a beauty. Kept sighing after hearing the price tag.
RunFree Neutral Newbie November 25, 2016 Share November 25, 2016 Anyone knows is the HDMI cable allows interaction with the HU? It seems to only project my phone's screen and that's it; I can't interact it on the HU itself. From what I understand, cannot. By the way, what did you use for the connection? Shader Clutched November 25, 2016 Share November 25, 2016 From what I understand, cannot. By the way, what did you use for the connection? HDMI cable and original Apple HDMI adaptor. I used the AppRadio app to use waze and mixtrax. It doesn't support whatsapp or other messengers though. However, I am able to use Push-to-talk via my steering wheel controls for Siri. ↡ Advertisement
