  1. I wonder what are the profiles who would rent in areas like Pasir Ris? It's awfully far from other parts of Singapore? Where do they work? What do they do and why would they rent there?
  2. Profiles of Electorate for GE 2011 There is an article in the Zaobao on profiles of electorates for the coming GE2011. Now for the benefits of those who don't read ZaoBao and also those who are not able to read Chinese, I have done a translation and outline those important points here for your comments: There are close to 2.35 millions people eligible to vote for the coming GE. They are grouped into 3 main categories: Group A: This group of Voters is born after 1965. They consist of some 1.11 million voters, which form a total of 46% of the total electorates. It is also one of the most diversify group that comprising students, working professional and office workers. They have different aspiration, expectation and political views to their early generations. They make up almost half of the electorates and they are crucial segment that will likely to determine the outcome of the coming GE. More than 73% of this group of voters has at least secondary education. Both P@P and opp parties are going all out to woo this group of votes. Group B: Voters aged between 45 & 64. The number is close to 980K, which forms nearly 40.6% of the total electorates. Most of voters in this group are seen as ardent supporters of P@P. They went thru the years together with the P@P and stability is most important for them. A drastic change in the political scene is considered too risky for them and they are afraid that they may not be able to adapt. Group C: Voters of aged 65 & above. This group consists of about 320K electorates (13.5% of the total electorates). They are the oldest and the most experienced voters among all.
