  1. Aston Martin Debuts an All-New $300,000 DBS Superleggera Coupe The $304,995 V12 will compete against Ferrari’s 812 Superfast. Aston Martin has just debuted the DBS Superleggera on Tuesday, June 26. Based on Formula One styling, the $304,995 coupe will replace the Vanquish, a so-called super-grand touring two-door that Aston Martin has made since 2001. The new car revives two historic nameplates from the Aston Martin line: The DBS title first appeared in a line of coupes starting in 1967, while Superleggera, which means “super light” in Italian, hasn’t been used since the DB4 Superleggera stopped production in 1961. The DBS Superleggera has a bi-turbo, 5.2-liter V12 engine that will be the basis for all forthcoming V12 models as well, since it is highly modifiable and can allow the integration of improvements for various trim lines and future products. The engine made its debut in this year’s DB11 coupe. It gets 715bhp and 664 pound-feet of torque—an astounding amount, considering that even 10 years ago only the most expensive, crazy-looking hypercars crested the 700hp mark. This one looks as if it could saunter down a high-fashion runway. It will give the 789-horsepower Ferrari 812 Superfast a firm challenge for dominance within the set. (The 812 Superfast, by the way, is the only other front-engine, rear-wheel drive, luxury super GT car on the market today. The British company is targeting Ferrari in other ways too.) Zero to 62 miles per hour in the Superleggera is 3.4 seconds. Top speed is 211mph.

  3. It is absolutely amazing to wake up in the morning, open up your email and receive news from Lamborghini on the unveiling of their latest concept car at the Paris Motor Show (Aside from actually being there, that is). This time, Lamborghini have called their concept car the Sesto Elemento, or Sixth Element (in the periodic table, carbon is the sixth element, hence its name). This car is about the size of a Gallardo but weighs an amazing 999kg - A whole kilogram below 1000kg and an amazing 341kg lighter than the Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera. The Sesto Elemento is still packed with the usual Lamborghini 5.0liter V10 engine and its all-wheel drive drivetrain. A truly amazing achievement in an era where weight has caused all cars to be slightly heavier than its supposed to be. And due to its light weight, the car has a power to weight ratio of 570bhp/ton. Compare this with the 420bhp/ton of the normal Gallaro Superleggera and you know you have a winner folks. 0-100km/h is now 2.5seconds with a similar V-max of 300km/h compared with the porkier Gallardo Superleggera. Only an Ariel Atom, a ridiculous Caterham SuperSports with a V8 or a Bugatti Veyron would achieve such vicious acceleration this side of a superbike. All this weight loss comes from Lamborghini investing in the latest carbon fiber technology. According to Lamborghini, the Sesto Elemento has an extremely solid, stiff, safe and lightweight carbon-fiber structure: the monocoque cell of the Sesto Elemento. The entire front frame, the exterior panels and crash boxes are also made from CFRP. The Sesto Elemento
  4. As above, anyone knows where to find a replacement? I lost 1 of it.
  5. [extract] 10,000 Lamborghini Gallardos have been produced to date. This was recently announced by Automobili Lamborghini when Gallardo number 10,000 rolled off the production line at the factory in Sant' Agata Bolognese.
  6. Was qoted $700 for a set of 17" OZ Superleggera with tyres (maybe can lower somemore). Both are 2 yrs old. Tyres are neligible cos most probably will have to change as it has travelled 40,000 km. Condition of rims: 6.5/10. Reason being there are kerb rashes on all 4 rims. So bros, is it worth paying for it and then getting it reconditioned (not to mention have to buy new tyres also)??? And anyone knows it's weight?

  17. Fellow Forumers, Saw this and I could not believe it !!!!!! Poor guy.... >>>>>>>>>>>>>>. Hi guys, I've had my OZ Superleggera 16" stolen right off my car yesterday (7 Mar) at my HDB carpark. When I found my car, it was resting on all 4 brake discs!! For those of you with branded rims, be very careful where you park your car. Also be wary of anyone trying to offer you used OZ superleggs. Please keep a look out for me as my rims were fiat/alfa specific (cannot fit any other make) and togethe we can catch the bxxxxxds!! <<<<<<<<<<<<<<
