Back from holidays!

I am also intending to go to SPK to order some parts. SHall those interested perform a group order (to reduce shipping charges)?

I am interested in:

1. Front 2-Point strut bar

2. Stock rear drum shoes

3. High flow air-filter

4. Belt set

5. D-sport front pads, brake disc and steel-braded cables

hi guys, I'm currently looking at buying my first car.. I'm v interested in the daihatsu copen and looking for a used car. i saw this used 2 year copen, well-maintained but without the rear glass between the back of both seats.

kinda strange cos I believe the copen originally comes with it and I'm not sure if the previous owner removed it or worst case, broke it in an accident? wanna ask copen owners here is the glass plate necessary? will it affect aerodynamics? last but not least, is it retractable?

thanks in advance!!

I believe that is the plastic wind deflector you are talking about and not the hood rear window glass.

If so, that piece can be made at any acrylic shops if you provide the dimensions and also if the plastic holders are in place. Else you have to indent a new piece from Japan.

thinking of selling my Copen man..to get a normal 2l sedan /fiat bravo NA or T-jet/ Suzuki sx4 hb.

but like no point since i also have another toyota harrier so no point buying another normal car.

1) road tax $3xx /yr (where to find)

2) cheap maintenance

3) Good fuel consumption

4) Good fun when i can get the choose convertible or coupe

too many to list man..

backside itchy..want to try new cars..

the plastic holders for wind deflector have been removed as well.. is the wind deflector a necessity? would it affect performance or driving experience?

Will not affect performance, but you definite feel more wind from the back, and it can get irritating.

guys, my copen's shock absorbers are leaking. Must have gone over humps too sharply too many times. Any good workshops to recommend which can get the shock absorbers changes? How much would it be btw?

Tyres.

Am looking to replace my 2 front tyres. Checked out Stamford Tyres. The only model with the size of 165/50 R15 was from Falken's ST115's series. Cost about less than $120 per tyre. Is this a good price? Are there other brands/models to consider?

personally i nvr see myself. It was stated when i serviced my car. Don't think the service centre is out to kar me as they told me they don't carry this daihatsu original manufacturer's item and told me have to go source outside.

My car basically feels too stiff when going over road bumps n humps. Am thinking of using softer shock absorbers.

I am using ST 115 for both my copen and my other small car. Have been using ST 115 for my other cars for 5+ years. Positive: Good grip in wet and dry conditions. Negative: wear out fast and noisy, riding comfort not there.

I feel the stock bridgestone has better comfort feel and is very much quieter, but don't know where to buy. If you know, please post here!

BTW, stamford's ST115 is 90/pc. Consist of free N2 gas, 10,000km FOC tyre rotation (usually i get balancing done FOC too as I am their regular - one set per year).

On the shocks, I'm sorry I cannot help you. I have an understanding that copen can use myvi products. If this is true, then i can direct you where to get perodua products in JB and KL.
