The old airport at Paya Lebar. Now taken over by the Air Force. Last time parking was free. Now u have to pay a small fortune to park there.
Redstorm 1st Gear February 20, 2007 Share February 20, 2007 (edited) Pisces69, I have a hard time trying to figure out which thread u are refering to when u answered to a particular one without the pic. AS far as possible, please include the pic, posted by others, which u are replying to. Would appreciate that. It makes more sense when we read your reply otherwise it would be tedious trying to look back at the tons of pictures. A picture tells a thousand words. Thanks. Pisces69 6th Gear February 20, 2007 Share February 20, 2007 I remember we cud have our breakfast at the road-side "sarabat" stall for a few cents only. Kopi-o for 5 cents, kopi was 10 cents & those triangle curry puff for about 10 cents for a big one.
Pisces69 6th Gear February 20, 2007 Share February 20, 2007 Nices pix. These got me going on my search for more details on Sago Lane. I have heard a lot of the d.houses and I find it so bizarre. Below is the link of the write up and some old pix of such houses. http://www.aliciapatterson.org/APF001971/S...0/Skerly10.html =========================== The daeth houses of Sago Lane where the not so well off went to await death. Pisces69 6th Gear February 20, 2007 Share February 20, 2007 I guess the survival rate was low then. Morale must be really low to have to be placed in the death house. ====================== Those days the not well off had already out-lived their usefulness & had nothing more to look forward to then just a chance to go to sleep forever. Is history re-living it's self with the "Nobodies" of today?
Pisces69 6th Gear February 20, 2007 Share February 20, 2007 Wah lau! This is what I've been talking about. See last time secondary school girls have skirts so short already. What are the prudes in our schools trying to bring back? The Victorian era?!! I don't think these are teachers. ========================== Those were the days of the Beatles & the Mini Skirt. So short u can see their panties if they bend a little.
