Remember there's a huge blue "oil drum"-like structure near the junction of Lavender Road-Kallang Road?

It has been demolished for many years. Wonder who owned that building.

Got pics for that?

Rgding the Merdeka Bridge lions (think there were 2 of them - one at each end), last I heard ST reported they are now housed somewhere in SAFTI Camp.

The bus ticket looks familiar same as those stamps. I used to collect stamps when I was a baby [sly] so I can still remember them. [laugh]

And the roads not much lane markings. [laugh]

Plus free parking. [thumbsup]

====================

There were not so many cars then & the roads were quite wide so u can just park along the road & go to the shops & get your stuff. So convenient. But many roads had big open drains beside the roads without any kerb to prevent your tyres from going into the drain. U had to b very careful when parking close to the side. [sweatdrop]

Serangoon Gardens. I used to stay there. This is the row near Captain's Cabin?

Fitzpatricks Supermarket. I used to go there with my grandma for her groceries & stuff. 1st place to have those automatic doors. Loved playing with them. I think was later taken over by Cold Storage. Now it's Centrepoint at Orchard Road.

Jurong Drive-In. Been there only once. I still preferred the normal cinemas. Maybe cos got air-con & the sound quality was better. [thumbsup]
