Just a qns to help to ask for my colleague. He was being stopped by TP this morning for driving a OPC car as he went to collect this car from the workshop this morning, but being booked by TP for not tearing off the coupon entirely, though he tored the couple and fold it backward, as he just bought his new car, cleaned and vaccued so doesn't wanna dirty his car, but TP gonna booked him for doing so.

Qns; How much will be the fine for doing so? I told my colleague to TP, this is as though you are trying to cheat by folding backward (it's tored and fold, not just folding backward) , though you can appeal to the court as you just bought ya car, just cleaned ya car, and doesn't wanna make it dirty.

i got a friend kenna the same situation, want to be cheapo, only display untorn coupon then stop by TP. fine $5000. luckily he go appeal to MP say rushing to hospital and forget to tear. MP write letter for him, reduce fine to $1000. now he learnt his lesson. By the way, 2nd offence will be 10K + jail... [sweatdrop]

My office carpark got this red plate lagi risk taker. Ard 8.30am come in no coupon display, almost every day I see !!hur.gif

For the price of his car, he could have gotten a cheaper car with normal plate.

Like that means moving in carpark is illegal also lor. I can also drive anywhere in Singapore if I don't get caught, in fact, I can do ANYTHING in Singapore if I don't get caught.

Can shift within parking lot, BUT DON'T GET CAUGHT.... don't think TP will be at your carpark at the time you shift your ride, if not, either you did not check your surronding for "suspicious" people or you are damn lucky/suay that day.... [shakehead] .... unless one of those STOMPER caught you his/her camera.... [shakehead]

Huh?? can't shift within carpark meh..i don't even care, so long the parking coupon is not expired.

I've checked with TP, calling them and enquiring them about it. Apparently, as long as the car is in MOTION and WITHOUT a valid OPC coupon, they have every right to book the driver, even if it's within the MSCP or any other car park area.

Hey, if he go Changi for 1 month means he don't have to pay any fine liao? Hmm, then we will probably see more people in jail due to this.
