Just to get this fact to you, I've given way for u to get into middle lane n didnt expect u to cut in between us.

 

just to point out the facts, after turn you kept in your lane, i kept in mine. do u mean that you intented to be in the middle lane but because you have to give way to me you shift to left lane, then coincidentally go turn into that IMM road? what BS is that..

 

U know that i was very near to that cefiro, does your years of driving exprience tells u never ever cut in between car so damn fast? Did u leave enough time for others to react?

 

i gave you all the time since after the 1st turn to react. you choose to keep up the pace i LL lor.

 

thing is, whether you have the intention to give way or not after the 1st turn. your every action after turn shows that you choose not to, and so insist you have right of way. i LL lor.

 

as i mentioned, no point finger pointing now. you have your views, i have mine. there will be no conclusions. at the end of the day, be safe, drive carefully.

Strange. Since you are aware that the Alfa is FnF behind the Cefiro, then why don't you slow down and get behind Alfa in the 1st place? Why must squeeze between them?

 

yo bro, if i know from the onset that the alfa does not have the intention to give way after turn, i would have slowed down to filter in behind him. fact is that after turn i on my signal n pace the cefiro closely. any driver will know that filtering intention and give way. by the time i know he is not in the mood of giving way, its too late for me to slow down.

Trying to stay neutral, but the way u described seem to me your road situation awarness wasn't that good on that day.....it seem that you are just trying your luck even though you know the other car was close by.....to give way or not, it's pretty subjective...depends on how the other drivers

You seems to have the typical Singapore drivers' mentality - I signal so others HAVE to give way.

 

If you are cutting into another lane, you should do so when it is safe. From what you have described in this thread. I don't think it is the case.

yes, because i usually give way to other drivers when i see that they are in tight situations. furthermore, in my case, i have given ample time for him to react and unluckily for me, his decision was to close up the gap instead of giving way. as i said, what goes around comes around, with such road courteousy, cannot go far.

 

by the way, when i signal, i have the confidence to switch lane without having others to slow down abruptly. of course i dont agree with "signal" others HAVE to give way even when it causes inconvenience to others.

frankly, having a signal light on doesn't means others have to slam their brake to let you go thru.

 

And you did mention that it's 100m which is a short distance. You shd have just queue behind before the turning or go slow. and instead of taking your time to note this car number, you shd have notice that there's a taxi behind that alfa. given that I was the one, I would do what the alfa driver is doing, coz that's the correct way.

 

If you miss your turn, go further and do a U-turn back and try again.

 

By complaining here, it just leave a sour taste on everyone.

Well, from the way he describe the situation and your own description, I guess it's a misunderstanding.

 

My own take is that if you want to rant about such things, keep the car number and make out of it. It's the drive, not the car they drive and unless you want to take action, there isn't a need to post any car numbers.

 

Put yourselves in his shoes, I'm sure you wouldn't like it if he post your number here.

Frankly, I still believe in what happen on the road, stay on the road.

 

there isn't a need to come to a forum and rant about, and with details somemore. want to post car number, they shd post their own 1st as well and let people make a sound judgment.

 

As for car make, it's also another funny thingy. When it's conti or bigger car, people like to bash. Green eye monster.. ya, I know Shrek is back but he's cute.. green eye monster is not shrek.

Frankly, those drivers that don't plan their route and anyhow try to squeeze in at the last moment instead of going ahead and making a u-turn piss me off too. Everyone behind has to pay for their incompetent driving.

'Big' cars again...

 

Just yesterday, my hubby was turning right from Bendemeer to PIE. Right when the lanes began to merge, this Mark X who was on our right behind us sped up to squeeze ahead of us. Like that still nvm. Later, the lane split to Kallang Way or PIE and for the PIE one, it's 2 merging lanes again. This time we were on the right lane with the Mark X on the left lane in front of us and all clear in front of him. This was way before the 2 lanes began to merge. He saw us travelling faster than him and just as we were coming to pass him, he purposely drove a little past the dividing line, just crossing into our lane and preventing us from going ahead of him. What an arse!

 

This kind of drivers getting more common, regardless of whether small or big cars.

It's the driver. All got this kiasu/kiasi scared to lose attitude.
