Kardachia Neutral Newbie April 29, 2007 Share April 29, 2007 I think these three should be comparable in prestige, performace, handling, maintenance and ownership satisfaction. What do you think? ↡ Advertisement
Carcraze 1st Gear April 29, 2007 Share April 29, 2007 (edited) Audi is a FWD and poor rear-legroom. so that's out. E90 is alright. My vote goes to the New C-class, which looks good(AvantGarde version). Edited April 29, 2007 by Carcraze
Kardachia Neutral Newbie April 29, 2007 Author Share April 29, 2007 heard the new c-class will be coming Jul 2007. Wonder if it's accurate. Also, wonder how it will be priced? Yes, the Avantgarde C-Class sure looks good.
Cool_jazz Neutral Newbie April 29, 2007 Share April 29, 2007 Prestige: Benz Handling: BMW E90 (read 2 to 3 mags and E-zines who said so) Maintenance: Anyone's guess Ownership satisfaction: Depends on whether you want prestige or handling (IMHO both agents are nothing to shout about)
Mrgoh80 Neutral Newbie April 29, 2007 Share April 29, 2007 driving a a4 1.8T and am loving it. of the few you have listed, it is also on my list before i get a4. try closing the doors of the 320 and compare it to a4. for the c class, it is nice as well, but a bit underpower. and new c class gonna be pretty ex. but am comparing this to a 1.8t. and 320 already many on the road liao... anyway, buying a car can be very fun, all in all, the cars you listed are all good car. just see which one you like best. as there are no best car out there. if there are, there will only be one model on the road. do consider the is250 as well... my friend got it... pretty good. good luck
Dlar2 Neutral Newbie April 29, 2007 Share April 29, 2007 Usually for people with the budget and can afford the maintenance, they will go for Conti instead of Jap. For IS250, there are people who will take the Mark X.
Ccssgm 1st Gear April 29, 2007 Share April 29, 2007 I will Prefer.....Merc......
Miles 4th Gear April 29, 2007 Share April 29, 2007 actually, depends on what you want. if you drive alone and always go at speed which will lose you your license - i guess the E90 320i is a pretty good driving machine. if you value space and comfort and do touring more than rally - W203 C-class will be a good choice without sacrificing much driving fun. If you hate paying so much for a Merc and dont like to be associated as being a beng beemer driver - A4 is the thinking man's car. if you hate unreliable contis and wish your car is as perfect as your jap wife - go for jap reliability - IS250 (but only if you can afford to sacrifice the space, if not you'll have to get the GS300 or Toyota Camry) If you value good engineering but are not a badge snob and do not wish to pay exhorbitant prices for all the above, consider the following, VW Passat, Volvo S80, Honda JDM Accord Euro R, Subaru Legacy B4 GT, Ford's neu Mondeo (Iosis inspired), Nissan Skyline GT (G35 as it is known)
Porker Turbocharged April 29, 2007 Share April 29, 2007 Since you asked me which I will choose... I will go straight to the point and answer your question... the Beemer

Nero159 Neutral Newbie April 30, 2007 Share April 30, 2007 Yes, BMW but not 320i... 530i better or at least one with the fabulous BMW straight 6 under the bonnet.

Magfocus 5th Gear April 30, 2007 Share April 30, 2007 I believe the 320i is sufficient for SG actually, and prob better handling, lighter weight in front, and slightly more agile handling.
